First tournament is Saturday. Pretty stoked. He was cleared this morning to wrestle, he's been dealing with a rotor cuff issue the last few weeks. See how it feels once he's going live

HS season isn't until December. If it feels great then he'll do 2-3 more tournaments in November. If not, we'll back off until December
Awesome, good luck FOF JR! May you have better luck than pops winning a knife raffle!

I kid, I kid.

Schedule just dropped.

Between this and SCYWA/NUWAY hoping for 50+ matches this season

Schedule just dropped. January 8th is listed twice, assuming the first one is a typo
Delete that bud, this forum isn't private and there a lot of people from the old OG that lurk here. Not saying someone will fuck around but why take the risk.

50 matches is a huge schedule, I think I had 32 before we got to sectionals and states my senior year.
For sure

He had 39 last season and it was his first wrestling season. That's Nov-Feb. But as long as he's not injured he'll do all he can. Moving up from MS to HS varsity will be a big step though. He's skipping JV except for the postseason. He's been busting his ass since August though. Lifting, drilling, cardio

He's never lifted weights until August. He turned 15 in August and this morning he was 149#

He's benching 225 and squatting 325 already. This is in a class with a weight lifting coach so form is good. There will be a lot of kids with more experience, though he has Bjj so he's not on the same level as most 2nd year kids, but there won't be a bunch stronger or in better shape. At least not in SC lol.

If you can't tell, I'm pretty excited for the season :)

He any good?
Honestly no idea. But Lander finished #2 in the country the last two years and had the national champion at 165. So probably pretty good to end up there. Leaving Nevada to come to SC. That's one of the schools my son camped at last summer and they were at the USS Yorktown last week too

Looking forward to what Casper Stewart does at west point, he was our first state champion from my high school and is a machine.
