shit if you want to make a poster for an upcoming event ill give you the dimensions and the headlining fighters once i know them and ill make it the official poster lolWould anyone like for me to make them a gym poster in MS Paint?
yeah. im excited for my 17 yo even though i haven't tested anything. i know he learns fast that's about it. 155/145 are going to be fun divisions. You posting them on that Tumblr is super convenient for anytime I want to link a poster in one of the threads.
I've also been wondering how long it takes for an 18 y/o to kind of get to the level of a 25 y/o. I've got two 18 year olds with good hiddens that I'm excited to be ready for the top tier of the divisions.
I know nothing about dimensions and all that jazz but I can make something hilarious on MS Paint. That I do know. Tag me when you're ready to do this.shit if you want to make a poster for an upcoming event ill give you the dimensions and the headlining fighters once i know them and ill make it the official poster lol
you're the man! i'll have one up today for the last event and ill also submit it
lol I almost started calling them out and shitting on the UGoooofa. just sent a contract to a new manager/fighter. 2000/2000/2000. 45 day inactivity clause, cause new managers are impatient and don't understand the little things in the game.
contract gets declined cause "inactivity clause too long and he's too far from sydney"
bruh you've been playing for two days and already declining contracts cause the clause is too long? 10 days longer than the normal 35? one look at our events and you can see you won't be inactive for more than 15 days.
of course i scroll a bit down on his manager page and "F the UG!"
we had a good thing goin here@StillReal lol
edit: he's a cool dude. talking to him about the game now.
haha if they sign they sign. themmac vs the uglol I almost started calling them out and shitting on the UG
The greatest tournament in all of spreadsheet sports.haha if they sign they sign. themmac vs the ug
lmfaoI hate to do this, but I need to raise the gym fees, I'm losing my ass.
hell no dude. at 600 it's still a bargain. i've been in and out of this game for years. i knew you'd eventually have to raise. don't feel bad. your gym quality should be at 1000 a week.I hate to do this, but I need to raise the gym fees, I'm losing my ass. Right now I lose 18k per week. Even doubling the fees to 600, I will still be losing a bit, but way more manageable. I'd like to increase the number of fighters to a max of 50 in the future with maybe another coach to keep the class sizes nice and low. Once it stabilizes at around 50, I will probably raise the fees once more to break even. Sorry guys, at 600 bucks, it's still the lowest, high quality gym around. I understand if you go elsewhere.
I was looking at the math because I've been trying to run a private gym, but I've been losing 50k a week because of it. There is no way to have truly elite classes that are really small and it still be a profitable. Gym's are really the worst business to open if you want to make a profit in my opinion. I might have to close mine in the coming weeks because of it.hell no dude. at 600 it's still a bargain. i've been in and out of this game for years. i knew you'd eventually have to raise. don't feel bad. your gym quality should be at 1000 a week.
I could pretty easily turn a profit, but I would have to raise the fees all yhe way up. I'm not looking to make money, just break even.@Judobill

holy shit guys these are terrible news! from what I read in the game's forum we are all way too noobs to be running businesses already, maybe you guys should reach out for help. without your gyms everybody's gonna be fucked!
the both of you should go running to the noob fund and read/learn what you can do to run profitable businesses. I have no idea how much sacking one or two coaches will help but you can fire the conditioning coaches with little repercussion IMO.
Thanks for the tip! I'm one of them (Salty Kawa). I know the 3 of us in the MMA Community alliance are all from here, but I think there may be one or two others that haven't joined the alliance yet.Just on a note, can someone list all the people from this forum who signed up to MMA Tycoon? I know a few of you asked me about the noob fund so if there is anyone I am missing I can send them on $50k also.
Also if it helps, I can send some cash from my own money to help you out with the gyms, but I would say you should charge $1k per week in order to have the gym lose less cash each week since it's easier to get money from the managers than it is from the fighters.
When I opened mine, I knew it would be a money drain. I've been making/selling avatars for 50-200k to support it, but if I go a few weeks without one being bought it could be trouble. I get my second half of the noob fund in a few days though so I should be okay for another couple weeks without worry.@Judobill

yeah i know ive looked into it in the past. i think think however if you do charge upwards of 1000 and allow more fighters in but not TOO much where it dilutes the training you can do well....2-3 per trainer could still be good...big sparring classes with fighters who have high ratings in said discipline help A LOT too...sometimes more so than trainers i believe. your gym is great cause of the 1 on 1 classes but because of the exclusivity your sparring classes will lack greatly and stunt development of fighters.....try allowing a lot more in and see how it goes before closing shopI was looking at the math because I've been trying to run a private gym, but I've been losing 50k a week because of it.
