I was never a big DC guy as a kid and I am referring to the late 70's and early 80's. By the time Doomsday rolled around (1992) SM was out of control again.

70s and early 80s, superman was off the charts. He was depowered after Crisis on Infinite Earths in 1985 (hence the term "pre crisis Superman")

How old are you - just curious. I assume 20s-early 30s since I know u are a fighter.

Thor has god-like powers because he's literally a god with the additional power boost of a magic hammer.

Superman and Sentry can do...things, because...reasons. Something to do with the sun, I guess.

wtf is with Thanos? He used to be beatable by the SS or even Drax or whatever his name is. But now? That ass hole is indestructible it seems.

Remember when he was handcuffed by the police? Or needed a thanoscopter to fly? Now he has matter manipulation, stronger than Hulk, can teleport etc.

  • Spawn (more like a horror story than superhero but...)

  • The Beast
  • The Silver Surfer
Sorry about the year to respond : )

To me I have issues with guys with NO powers who bounce around like Daredevil in ways that should physically kill them, so I like guys within these logical boundaries:
  • No powers but don't hop around like Spider-Man (i.e. The Punisher though Batman gets close to the edge with his swinging around Gotham).
  • Slightly Super powered enough so that swinging around like Spider-Man wouldn't kill them (Wolverine, Spider-Man, etc.).
  • Extremely powerful but not to the point that they can smash planets or never be killed (Thor, Thing, Colossus, etc.)
  • God-like but as the purpose of the story (Miralce Man, Spawn, Silver Surfer, etc.)
