if they think their dear leader is going to do the right thing and call the attacks of yesterday (domestic) terrorism
Attacks?

There was one attack I'd feel comfortable calling terrorism at this time. And yes I'd hope he does take as strong as language as is needed to remove the politicizing and create a united front against such actions.

I also support Sessions looking for RICO and other organization charges where groups coordinate to commit crimes, not spontaneous protest skirmishes. And I would include antifa in that group who coordinate to cross state lines to commit felonies. Likewise, if the kid that killed that woman was coordinated in anyway, I'd like to see a halo of charges come with his for the vanguard leadership.

You are probably right, but there is no need for it to be political.

He is a twisted, mouth-breathing idiot with hate in his heart. His views are shared by a very, very small amount of Americans. He went after innocents with intent to harm. Execute him.
i agree with you but there is definitely going to be protests at his trial

. Lee freed his slaves years before the war started.
The most interesting thing I've read today about Lee is that he personally thought Virginia should not secede. Virginia voted overwhelming to secede and he went with it. He expressed his willingness to be a union general if they has stayed.

This is not Donald Trump calling the act "terrorism".

I'm more of a centrist but no it's not good enough. Trump needs to stop avoiding the words "terrorism" and "terrorists" just because 99.99% of these domestic terrorists are Trump voters.

It's not like these retards are going to vote for a Democrat in the next election.

you never know

Wasn't trying to catch you. Just I think the word terrorism loses its power when tossed on every fist fight or even singular violent assault.
This was a terrorist attack. There is no other way of labeling it.

Oh snap, you got me there. I guess Trump should continue being a retard and not calling yesterday's attack what it was - terrorism.

No need to respond. I've exhausted my serious post limit for the month of August.

I'll skip your interpretation of Robert E Lee's most important contributions to life. All I'm learning is it seems more complex than that to me. And obviously to others that aren't the KKK or whatever dichotomy is being forced in the current conversation that has at minimum 4 major groups weighing in on this particular statue. The least numerous opinion being the aggregate of fringe racist right groups.
1. Using the 'but, some random black guy doesn't mind' line is about as stereotypical as you can get. Do you personally have a black friend you can bring in to this as well?

2. The whole 'it's complex' stuff is mealy-mouthed nonsense, and is once again the argument you always hear in cases like this because they don't have the balls to say what they actually think. See the below video for what you are doing.

What is YOUR argument? I don't care about whether someone else who thinks it should stay has a valid opinion or not. Why should the statue stay?

It's not. You've preemptively framed the conversation as "racists want it up, anti racists want it down" and I was trying to give you tangible evidence that isn't true beyond my own words.

It's not. I posted several times including earlier of the various groups that arrived in Charlottesville and find themselves on the up or down side. Only some are Nazi racists.

My argument is that may want the statue up for lots of reasons that don't fit your box.
I've given my personal opinion multiple times and my conflicted feelings. I take umbrage with your characterization that if I were to settle on wanting the statue up, I must be a racist, etc etc.

Speaking of so stereotypical...
Is this where I post memes showing the left gets their way by calling everyone that wants to discuss anything racist?

I'm not sure he was really that against it.
Check my Smithsonian link from earlier. Lee didn't love slavery, but was a bit...apathetic (maybe the right word?) to it given that he saw slaves on an eventual course improved from Africa. Definitely a "these poor savages need our help" view that permeated all the way to Teddy Roosevelt at the time. He thought slavery immoral as an grand institution but seemed to rationalize it's reality for the time period. And with it, continue to find reasons it wasn't "so bad".

I really don't care whether or not the statue is left up or taken down, but you need to read up on your Civil War history. Lee freed his slaves years before the war started.
Robert E. Lee actually never purchased or 'owned' any slaves himself. His father-in-law owned them and freed them in his will, which Robert E Lee acted as the executor on. He kept them almost the full 5 year period that the directions of the will mandated though. If you want to bring up this argument next time, I would go with with Robert E. Lee never purchased or directly inherited slaves - much stronger statement. So I encourage you to do exactly what you suggested I should, and that's read up on your history.

None of the above matters. He was a general in an army that fought to maintain the institution of slavery, regardless of his personal thoughts on it (he still reluctantly supported it).

Lewis E. Carpenter, an English teacher in Poprad originally from Issaquah, Washington, found the monumental statue lying in a scrapyard ready to be sold for the price of the bronze; Carpenter had met and befriended Venkov while in Czechoslovakia. In close collaboration with a local journalist and good friend, Tomáš Fülöpp, Carpenter approached the city officials with a claim that despite its current unpopularity, the sculpture was still a work of art worth preserving,

They have been trying to sell it forever apparently. I hate communism and Lenin was terrible. I wasn't personally targeted and I'm not sure I could relate to that statue the way someone could feel hurt by a Robert Lee statue.

But what of historical significance and art must play a part. Warts and all. I'd use that Lenin statue as cautionary tale, instead of creating hippie communist groups. But I don't think I'd ever want it actually torn down just for standing on there. It's an impressive piece of work frankly.

Confused him with Lincoln or Washington then.

Also calm down man you're like full on rustled bro.
