I get your point. And I can't stand that girl. But in her defense, she had about 20 minutes prior to a moment of silence out on the white house lawn. So when she said "now is not the time," I could dig thst in terms of that specific presser, to focus more on expressing condolences and giving shoutouts to brave on-duty/off-duty cops as well as civilians

As well as fact gathering.

But i hear ya in the sebse thar I am sure many politicians will hope that this fades before debates heat up in the coming days

That's awful.
I try not to post anything gratuitous. That's someone loved ones face. But I think more than vague language is needed to capture the horror.

I watched the videos a few times and I can see what people mean by “inconsistency” in the shots. It sounds like he was trying to do controlled bursts, mixed in some tap firing, and then said fuck it and held the trigger down. That’s why during the middle of one of the volleys the shots sound more spaced out.

I hear that familiar snap and see Las Vegas in the background and my mind can’t wrap itself around what I’m watching. I’ve seen a lot of videos of domestic shootings, but the echo on this one puts me back in Iraq, but I’m looking at Mandalay Bay. Just...wow

I'm definitely not clicking any of those photos. I think it's sick how glued we become to this. Like the news allll night and day literally just replays the gun fire and screaming on a fucking loop. It's so horrible, and now because of phones, we have pictures of every single thing from every angle and shit. Fuck

The concert shootings really get to me, because I have been to so many and they are a huge part of my life. Obviously every mass murder is a tragedy, it's just these feel so real to me and like whenever I go to a show I think about the worst case nightmare scenario happening. Then you see something like this, basically worse than you could ever imagine, and it really fucks with you. These were regular people just like me, you, etc, who wanted to go out and listen to music and enjoy life. And one random guy can just take dozens of lives, wound hundreds of others, simply because he snaps one day and decides to do so.

Human life is so precious to some and completely worthless to others. Wow. And it can be taken in a moment when you would never expect it, just living life normally, not deserving of anything. Damn man.

Same. Watching the videos triggered something in me. I have been having a scared and nervous feeling since I watched them. Something about the sound is eating at me. Those poor people had no clue wtf was going on and had no idea how to react, so they simply ducked down and gave him larger targets.

Not trying to make a “look at poor me” post, was just agreeing with you.

I understand when the news misreports, or when death counts grow or shrink. But if the cops are the only people who were in the room, how exactly did they miscount multiple times? Unless of course...

If he indeed modified a semi-auto AR with a trigger system like Fostech, Bump Fire, or Hellfire I wonder how much the legality of those systems will be brought up. They aren’t popular because they’re inaccurate as shit, so very few people actually purchase them.


But if we’re being honest... that cadence sounds belt fed. Something 7.62 and around 700 RPM RoF

According to my FIL the feds are scratching their heads since nothing is linking this to any motive whatsoever. It seems he was just a dude (how we knew him) until this happened and I think Marilou may be able to provide some insight into his mental state in the weeks leading up to this event. The family still hasn’t spoken with her yet but she is in contact with the authorities so hopefully they can make some sense of this because as of right now, we have nothing but assumptions and guesses.

Does anyone know if he was computer savvy? He could have linked up with some radicals somewhere on the deep net and been stable enough to remain normal in his everyday life. With his money, you can also buy a damn arsenal there.

I’m just making an assumption.
