I don't own guns, never have. But my uncle loves em and dickishly made me clean em after we went shooting.

Right away first time at the range after we finished, he told me to hand him my gun, and gave me an angry lecture about how to handle a weapon.

Never aim the barrel until you intend to shoot.

Always check the chamber, etc. Basic.
Show me on this doll where he hurt you? jkjk

We should prolly stop this argument, it would go in circles and is not that pertinent to the actual topic.
I won't budge and you won't either, so it's alright.

Actors' literal job is to slip into roles in a story. I believe these roles shouldnt reflect on their private lives. That's all.

Three crew members who were present at the Bonanza Creek Ranch set on Saturday said they were particularly concerned about two accidental prop gun discharges.
Baldwin’s stunt double accidentally fired two rounds Saturday after being told that the gun was “cold” — lingo for a weapon that doesn’t have any ammunition, including blanks — two crew members who witnessed the episode told the Los Angeles Times.
“There should have been an investigation into what happened,” a crew member said. “There were no safety meetings. There was no assurance that it wouldn’t happen again. All they wanted to do was rush, rush, rush.”
A colleague was so alarmed by the prop gun misfires that he sent a text message to the unit production manager. “We’ve now had 3 accidental discharges. This is super unsafe,” according to a copy of the message reviewed by The Times.

Fucking chaos.
I can't wait to see this movie.

i appreciate your civility, my butt is unhurt. We're talking about an actor, but we're also talking about an Executive Producer who is literally producing and profiting off of the thing he says is destroying society.

Fair enough. I love you even if we disagree on something.

just because there are 4 of them and they relate to firearms doesn't make them The 4 Rules. They dropped "know your target and what's beyond it" because they're Marines in combat and they DGAF. You will.

Setting aside that those are rules for Marines in combat with a tiny handful of weapons with uniform controls, it doesn't surprise me that the Corps would take something perfect and fuck it up because they're all high-functioning morons.

Jeff Cooper created the 4 Rules of Firearm Safety, and they're perfect. They cover every firearm, not just the ones that the USMC uses. In fact, the USMC is doing a disservice to the public by sending former Marines back in to the world thinking that the "safety" on a weapon is part of Firearm Safety.

NEVER EVER EVER rely on a "safety" or other mechanical device to prevent negligent firearm discharges.
you still have to break the other 3 to get to the safety part

they're not in any specific order, other than "treat every firearm like it's loaded" will cover the other 3.

Know your target and what's beyond it, and you won't be relying on a mechanical device.
the whole point of the 4 Rules is to be aware when handling a weapon

My wife's .38 doesn't even have a safety.

It's a hell of a squeeze on the trigger though.

is it possible that the disgruntled camera crew could be sued if they have motive and opportunity?
Let's say they find only the Asst Dir and Baldwin's prints on the revolver, indicating the revolver was wiped down after the armorer cleared it.
or they find a camera crewperson's print, even if from incidental handling the day before...who all can be hit with blame in court?
