They are getting to be chonky, their official names are Pooh, Tigger and Eyore due to their coloring. Still won't let me touch them, they just sit about a foot away staring and purring at me. Little bastards. Dad comes around once in a while. Going to check on mom and the second litter this week.

I can touch like 2 of the strays while they feed. They all come right up to the door.

The juan on the left looks like Garfield with that tail.
 
How cold can outdoor cats tolerate? I have an outdoor cat that showed up a year ago and I've been feeding her. She's a sweet friendly cat but I've kept her outdoors because I have indoor cats. She stays in a garage set off from the house and she lives up in the rafters. I put a nice bed up there for her and she uses it all the time.

How cold is too cold? I've thought about putting a heating pad under her bed on the coldest nights. Thoughts?
 
It's been down to 8 so far here at the lowest, they are doing good. As long as they are out of the wind they should be good, ours just bundle up under our shed. But it is insulated. Can just build a box out of 2 inch pink board and throw a bed in it for her.

Or just grab some bales of straw and stack them to for a shelter, the shelter recommended that.

Thanks for the reply, KVR! Good ideas. I am in Florida so I won't see 8 degrees. It could get down in the 20s and that's what I was worried about. She lives in a detached garage and she lives up in the rafters. I put a nice deep kitty bed up there for her and she turned it over and enters it from the side. It works like a little cave for her. So she is doing good.

I guess I was over worried and wondered if I needed a heating pad under her bed. But if yours tolerate 8 degrees then she should be fine.
 
Had to give the chonkers some extra this morning for new years day, everyone is giving me shit because they are getting fat. You want to go sleep outside in zero degree weather? Usually shuts them up. They will be going on slimfast in the spring though.

They actually come on the front porch at night and stare at the front door. The motion lights give them away, they are like Kitties of the corn, always watching.
