So we have continued feeding them all summer, two of them would allow me to pet them but the other three would jump as soon as they saw my hand near them. As soon as they saw me though and I called them they would come running to me. It's basically been building trust with them the last couple months.

I heard of a cat sanctuary about 45 minutes from us so I drove over this morning to talk to the owner. I explained the whole situation to her and she told me that the best thing for them was to keep them together. To try and separate them at this point would not be good for them or a home. She said she can get them fixed with shots but she doesn't think she can adopt them out. She is actually at max capacity with 500 cats and all the area animal shelters are full as well so there is no place to even keep them.

I said fuck it, I'll trap them and bring them to you, fix them, I will give you a donation to you sanctuary and bring them back home to our empty barn.

The conversation was much more in depth but that was the basics of it.

So I sprung the trap tonight and captured them.

I'm going to order 20 bales of straw tomorrow and will build them a nice home in the barn. Will be picking them up on saturday.

I was surprised my wife was fine with this. She actually wrote out the check for the donation.
Cosmo says to tell them to suck his dick.

They've always been yours. They will fuck some mice up as a pack and run off any vermin. The orange juans look so much like Cheeto. The mom and dad, I still feed. I have a pack like this that is getting a little of hand. Its cause they attract other packs, too. The barn is a great idea.

We haven't seen a mouse, chipmunk or squirrel in months, sanctuary just called they are ready to come back, looks like 4 males and a female, black one is the female which I expected due to her size.

Keep them kvr28 @kvr28. Cats are so easy. Put some food and a couple litter boxes out. Let them outside and they’ll come back.

I think I found the location of the new batch, unfortunately it's in a tow company's secure gated area. Mom came running out of an open conex where they stack tires when I was calling for her, I'll have to go over monday when they are open to start digging though it.

The story continues

So my neighbor decided he wanted the calico female when I brought them home.

So I gave them some time alone.

After an hour of bonding he said he wanted her, so we put her in the kitchen and let her go

20 minutes later here is where I found her, not happy

So we let her go, checked on her and couldn't find her. We searched the whole house, nothing. I told my neighbor, you would be shocked where a cat can hide, let's give it 24 hours.

Found her this morning behind the dryer.

Put some more food and water out and just left her alone. She came out, ate some food and then moved next to the freezer.

That is where she currently is.

The four males were not happy with me at all, I mean I just had their nuts chopped off.

So I opened the cages and they bolted, didn't see them all last night or this morning when I came outside.

Figured they needed time, went back around 11 AM and could feel someone looking at me. I think they are planning my demise for chopping their nuts.

Wouldn't even look at me

Hit the conex box this afternoon, found mom and her new litter, currently under a tarp at the far end, so far see 1 tabby and 2 gray, expect much more under the tarp. Plan for tomorrow is to start emptying out the conex, wrangle the kittens and take them/mom to the sanctuary.

Calico Females are the spiciest of all cats

I had one for 15 years, she would immediately go attack any animal if I opened up the door and told her to "get em". Dogs usually ran from her, energy was crazy. Kind of like Rottweiler traits of only having one owner or boss and fuck the rest of y'all.

When we got a 2nd cat she didn't forgive us for 6 months or more, just gave us the death stare and mean mugged us.

It will take a bit, very stubborn type of cat for some reason.

Although I got mine as a kitten from a pet store so she wasn't semi feral

When it's feeding time, you go find a nice patch of grass, sit down in the grass, relax..breathe in..smile ....

Left hand has a handful of food, with your right hand take a couple and show the mom and kittens what you have....

now that they see it, start making the gentle pssssst - pssssst - pssssst sound....

then toss one or two close to their location, once they get that one....

toss one a little closer ...repeat until they feel comfortable feeding out of your hand. Now gently pet those pussys!

*This method also works in the fall using acorns with squirrels.

*You are welcome, that will be $11.95 for my services ...I accept Venmo only!
This does work, I’ve done it before but it’s easier to shoot them with a pellet gun

Cats breed like rodents. They put so many cats to sleep at the pound
Yep, that's the sanctuary's goal, get the street cats fixed to try and stop the source. After I get mom and the kittens I need to find dad.
