@willthiswork I just ordered a bottle of barrel aged maple syrup from Pappy & Co. It came with a sweepstakes raffle to win a bottle of Old Rip Van Winkle 10 year. The syrup was kind of expensive, but I bought on just to see if I can win the bourbon.

One of my lady friends sent me a link to the Pappy syrup about a month ago because she knows how I like my Whiskey and absolutely crave pancakes every day of the week. I haven't ordered any yet though but this may be a good reason to spend that much on some syrup.
And more importantly... Another very nice lady friend just sent me this picture and told me that we needed to hang out soon.

I almost caved over the holidays, but my wife and I both have expensive medical shit going on this month (not to mention a 4 year old). Trying to be responsible and all that
. I very well may give in soon, I want that bottle badly! I can afford it, it just feels irresponsible. I could find better ways to spend money I'm sure. The wife an I, and our son obviously, also eat and crave pancakes often. My wife and I enjoy the pleasure of eating good food, and she loves to cook and experiment. She makes all kinds of infused liquors too. This barrel aged syrup was right up our alley, and definitely worth a try - even at the price. Plus I'm bored as fuck while stuck at home after the surgery, so it just seemed like a good idea lol.

I'm a bit slow....but I just had the realization that a glass like that would keep your hands from warming the whiskey. Very nice.Double walled whisky glass my father in law got me for Christmas.

They're all good wheated bourbons with the same mash bill, but the green is only a 4 year I think. The antique is 7, and is a little hotter. And then the 12....I love the 12. It's cool to drink them side by side, you get an idea of how the same whiskey's flavor changes and evolves with more time in a barrel.

Right on man. All 3 are good, can't go wrong. They're all pretty reasonably priced too. Glad you liked it bud. If you ever see the 12-year, buy it. It's the best one. Hard to find sometimes/some places, but it's excellent. If you go back to the first post, you can see all 3 bottles in the pic. Also, since you liked Weller, try Eagle Rare sometime.

The small batch is about $20 cheaper than the single (and also quite good), but I decided to splurge a little bit. Plus, it was the last bottle on the shelf.

Yep. It's basically a glen cairn glass inside of another glass. Pretty nice.
The only downfall for me is that I'm a complete weirdo and they have a tendency to have a thick rim and it weirds me out.
