I'm happy to envision members of the LGBTQ community, taking with them happy memories from events centered on a cause they like (environmentalism) with loving friends and strangers by their side. So that's nice.Do you believe that VF Corporation cares deeply about trans rights?
So given that we understand they're move is for cynical reasons. Do you believe that a company with no history of being socially conscious picked a drag person named after their historical rival as some sort of weird tribute to them, or as a very obvious way of mocking their rival? The the firms primary motivation is the bottom line. Their marketing and stunts are gay capitalism for sure
Then it's a he, the same way Al Jolson was white even though he dressed up in blackface.Pattie gonia identifies as a she when in drag
I'm not sold that there was malice in their choice of Patta gonia, but knowing the types in VC (including friends), I wouldnt be surprised if there was at least a bit of truth to your hypothesis (since you like fancy words)So given that we understand they're move is for cynical reasons. p.s. Why are you using "gay" as a pejorative? It completely undermines the positions you're trying to occupy.
I read an article the other day, which stated that he identifies as he/them in person and she/her when in drag. Then it's a he, the same way Al Jolson was white even though he dressed up in blackface.
It means using a word as an insult. If you call something gay as an insult it's difficult to take your other pro-LGBT positions seriously.I don't know what a pejorative is, Mr. Fancy lol
"Gay capitalism" is a term I heard recently. I think there are variants of the verbiage.
Drag is a man dressing up as a caricature of a woman and it stems from the theatrical history of women not being allowed to perform. It's literally the male/female equivalent of blackface and because of that I don't care what someone identifies as when they're in a costume.read an article the other day, which stated that he identifies as he/them in person and she/her when in drag.
I hear ya. I kinda got that and would've gotten it right on a multiple choice test (given a sentence for some context), but it was an opportinity to throw you a compliment while mocking myselfIt means using a word as an insult. My guess is a bunch of marketing bros said "I can't believe we have to do this shit. You know what would be funny?"I hear ya. I also hear ya in that it sounds like it might be insult. I actually googled it after typing and before sending to double check that it wasn't lol
It's not about my happiness. I don't have any time for the desires of those who would oppress others for their own vanity. If people are trans, I have no issue addressing them as they ask. When someone decides to play dress up on the weekend for fun, I treat them the same way I would anyone else who wears a costume for pleasure. And in terms of you not caring what pronouns he/them/she/her prefers, lol OK. As long as that makes you happy, im happy for you
You can play that that game. Not me.Pattie gonia identifies as a she when in drag
Good for her.Pattie gonia identifies as a she when in drag
She would be happy to know you referred to her as a her lolGood for her.
I give zero fucks.
I doubt she cares what some rando on an mma forum says about her.She would be happy to know you referred to her as a her lol
I'd buy a shirt that said "Ask me my pronouns" if it also said "I fucking dare you"Kohl's becomes latest department store found selling LGBT pride clothing for infants, children
Some of the merchandise includes shirts with phrases such as "Be Proud" and "Ask Me My Pronouns."justthenews.com
