But beyond that on the topic of mask the CDC clearly indicates that they were waiting for evidence that vaccinated individuals were not likely to transmit the virus. That has been the crux of continued mass wearing. So what really matters is whether that data was available for weeks ago or not. If it wasn't then that's a very reasonable change.

I mean, we were going the wrong direction while governor's were acting like we were already done Governor Abbott Lifts Mask Mandate, Opens Texas 100 Percent and the CDC is just saying don't fuck this up at the final stretch.
None of this strikes me as odd when looking at context of each time (then and now)

You're wrong. OAZ never applied for a TUE and due to the country being 40% vaccinated and having a large supply, it's unlikely they ever will.

2 weeks ago the CDC introduced new guidelines that told people to wear masks indoors regardless of whether or not they had been vaccinated. These were their outdoor recommendations:

Mask mandate lifted in Oregon for "fully vaccinated" people.

Was wondering what was up...was at a junkyard today for truck parts and all the dudes no longer wore masks...they feinted pulling em up when I walked in but I pulled mine off and said "we good".

Total shitshow incoming as the karens try and no mask shame, and for those attempting to enforce proof of vaccine on the patriots...I am gonna enjoy testing the waters of my favorite businesses and see what their policies are now.

State is 60% unvaccinated so you can't exactly exclude that amount of people and expect business or society as a whole to do well.

Two days ago there as a firm announcement of "some restrictions will be lifted when counties reach 70% vaxx rate"...lmao this shit...10 days ago it was take out only and we were in "Extreme Risk"....Science.

Interesting turn of events...

State probably crunched the numbers and realized it is going into catastrophic debt playing this lockdown game.
