Was picking up some work stuff today and yes indeed there isn't a mask on the shelf...at home depot or walmart(although they had a tiny section of them so probably don't stock many)
I do know that the simple masks had been diverted away from USA 3-4 weeks ago...My lady works in medical and she said they got a notice that they would be allotted a limited supply compared to what they usually get...so I doubt they will be coming this way anytime soon.
I would say a small portion of the public is taking precautions at this time, but even that small portion has depleted the limited mask supply.
I will grab a sack of Rice and a Sack of Beans from costco tomorrow, maybe some canned chili.
