sooner than that IMO
Agreed, but the discussion won't really heat up until then.
Splinty has already dry ran the "now that the vaccine is available, do you fear mongers plan on getting it?" thread in his beta update.

The donation is symbollic.
The cuts were made a while ago
If you read the link I posted, it clearly states that Trumps cuts are recommendations and Congress has consistently gone against them in favor of budget increases for the CDC. Very interesting...

I skimmed through most of it.
I gave the Dems too much credit by assuming they were telling the truth.

10 dead in Washington now. 1 dead in California.

Washington state confirms 10th coronavirus death
The good news was this morning.
UW is ramping up, their virology department capacity moving to 1000+ tests daily.

I take it with a grain of salt, knowing false negatives are so prevalent, but it's better than nothing. By middle of March we'll likely see those "2 weeks ago" numbers, which will likely be in the thousands.

If previous info is correct regarding "L" & "S" strains, hopefully the deadlier of the two will not be as prevalent in test results.

If that ability is available, And it seems it has been given that South Korea was testing thousands at a time, it seems pretty crazy to me that we weren't rolling these things out 2 weeks ago at the same time South Korea was showing a good model for large-scale testing.

I'm not sure if it's politics or regulations or what but I don't see how spending a lot on testing is a bad investment early on.

Because it's rigged?

Both South Korea and Singapore had a jump on this weeks ago.
Those are countries that can't afford to lose the battle at the expense of propagating PC culture.
They were models of what to do.
You'd have to be a complete idiot to think this was a "misstep".

I have a tough time rationalizing this post with your post implying that Trump is doing a great job and knows what he's doing and The deep state is undermining him.

Trump is publicly stating that things are under control and they're moving very aggressively.

you and I both agree that it seems like there should have been lots of testing a couple weeks ago.

To me it seems like there is some friction in putting out tests. My gut feeling is to immediately state that Trump is wrong on this one and things are not greatly under control, but rather the response is too slow. And that response is mostly about testing which is an objective measure a president could ask and easily know about. Not something esoteric that would be hidden from him.

Please point to the post where I said "Trump is doing a great job".
Now you're just making shit up.

All right I misunderstood what you're saying. You made a post about how Trump was trying to do the right thing and he was going to be undermined. stop taking it so personally. I'm not accusing you of anything I'm just trying to follow your thinking on what we should be doing and who you think is doing the right thing or not the right thing.

It's a personal statement! lol
Anyone that's falsely stated feels upset; I know I wouldn't do that to someone as a statement. I'd ask first, so that's where the rationalization problem comes in.
I'm trying to go easy on you here, but the horn has been blowing for 2 months.
We should've shut the borders down January; same thing we should've done after 9/11.
We've got enemies, it's common sense.
When we don't, well...
