Curious what made you migrate to TMMAC?

Was member of SD from 2003-2010. Mods became real nazis and too many people kept leaving. Got into argument with one of the mods and moved to UG/OG. Enjoyed it for the most part but got too overrun with basement dwellers imo.
Found out about TMMAC and saw that a few of the cooler ppl on the OG were posting here, so joined and stayed. I enjoy the friendly and funny nature of the place. Pretty much noone passes judgement and is mature about everything while maintaining a sense of humour. I`ve shared experiences about my depression and lack of confidence over the past year or so, and pretty much all the people who posted offered great advice and well wishes. Actually helped me out a lot and steered me on the right path to becoming great again. I owe TMMAC a lot of gratitude for that.
I do go back to the OG from time to time, mainly to see if some of the posters I like are on there, but doesnt seem like they post there too much now either.

the high idiot quotient, wildly obsolete technology, and preposterous "pay for the privilege of functionality available for free anywhere else" blue name policy of the UG made this site pretty much delightful in comparison. I still check back there fairly often, as there are some excellent posters hanging on for now.

One of the things rhat made another site unusable was how its' quoting function worked- content became unreadable and draining to even bother. This place is nice and tidy.

I Googled "mma forum" after getting somewhat bored with SD. My posting was pretty sporadic for a couple of years but y'all are stuck with me now I'm afraid.

It was a year, and totally unwarranted.I had nothing to do with the creation of the site. Iirc@Wild sent me a pm on the UG inviting me me to check out tmmac 2 weeks in and I accepted. He asked if I wanted to be a mod and then during UFC 189s international fight week
@MMAHAWK and I spread the good word of tmmac which skyrocketed my MMA forum status to admin. That fight week was easily the best MMA related experience I ever had. We were handing out t-shirts and stickers to fighters and fans and spamming the place with business cards while meeting almost every big name you could think of.
That was my opening but I've stayed on with great moves like banning@Headbutt for a month and then handing out our first 3 day pinking to @conor mcgregor nut hugger the day before a Conor fight.

@BirdWatcher banned Thailand for a year. I am still kind of holding a slight grudge, I have hooked up
@Bluesville friend with ganja. As always the offer of weed and a guided tour of Bangkok is open.

UG was great at one point, we all loved it, then it turned to complete and utter shit, like totally bad. Galanis hit me up via pm to tell me about this place after he could see that I was not doing well there lol. Crazy what those idiots ruined because it was a good community at one point but to be honest I feel this community is def better then it ever was over there. We have helped each other through some real shit.
I really don't know how you all managed to post over there for so long, it's pre myspace bad to look at.
SD has its faults but even when I discovered MMA 11 odd years ago and started posting there it was miles ahead of the UG technology wise to what the UG is even now.

Almost every thread gets ruined by their banter.
@Wild set up a sub forum on Reddit for when the UG broke during live fights, which happened every fight at that point. I signed up for that for shits and giggles and shortly thereafter he got this place going. I still go on the UG a lot to talk shit because I don’t want to do it here for the most part.
