If you want to just take a screenshot of an email and you want to edit it. You can just go into developer mode on your browser and change the text in the HTML code. You could literally edit the text and take a screen shot in under 1 minute doing this and someone who was intentionally trying to deceive would probably go this route as the screen shot would look 100% legit.

When you say the DNA doesn't match family, is this parents/siblings? Or just his recently born child? Because it it's just the child, then his estranged wife might have an explanation for that.
