Probably, but its a violation of our constitutional rights and exactly what they swear they don't do.
I'm not intimately familiar, but I have trouble believing that something like a federal warrant wouldn't be able to grant access. Even without a warrant, I can almost guarantee you that anything related to a terror investigation opens the floodgates.

Problem is they aren't supposed to have those records, so even a warrant shouldn't matter, they shouldn't have that information. The FFL keeps those but they are private citizens.

There's not a chance in hell that NICS doesn't keep records of what is going through it. Otherwise there's no point in having it because they can't prove it's doing the background checks.

One thing this would tell us is that this guy wasn't on the FBI's radar, or maybe it does?

NICS isn't supposed to keep track of exactly what youre buying, just whether or not you're allowed to buy

NICS doesn't have to. The FBI already has the who, the when and the where. The what is just a warrant (or more likely some Patriot Act nonsense that doesn't require a warrant) away.

By law they shouldn't.
Thats the entire point of my concern.
We know they cut corners everyday and we know that they were scanning all the paper work they obtained when FFLs retire and turn said paper over.
We ALSO know that the ATF changed the form a few years ago so that information they would be interested in is now on the first page to be presumably easier to find in a search.

They adamantly denied this is why the change was made.

Its pretty clear to even the non paranoid that they aren't following their own rules because they are never held accountable.
I think they said the quiet part out loud on this one or they simply wouldn't have this information on this timeliness.

Or they already had this package ready to go before the boom, which brings us back to conspiracy and shenanigans.

It smells wrong no matter which way you whiff it.

NICS might keep track of what's going through it, but in states like South Carolina, if you have a concealed carry permit, no NICS background check is run when you buy a firearm from a dealer. You still have to fill out a form 4473, but those forms aren't automatically sent to any government agency, the dealer just has to keep them as long as they're in business. If they retire or go out of business, at which point they're supposed to be sent to the ATF. You also may get audited but the ATF up to once per year, but I think the average is every 5 years around here. I know some FFL's that haven't been audited in almost a decade. Hell, one guy that runs an 01 out of his house met his ATF agent once, years ago when he first got his FFL and hasn't see or heard from them since.

Private party firearms sales require no paperwork, permits, or background checks here in SC. I've bought a bunch of guns from random strangers in parking lots. Which is exactly how it should be. Shall not be infringed...

Why wouldn't they have access to system they run during an investigation? I'm not saying I think they should, but there's no fucking way they don't.

We're also all acting as if the NSA doesn't exist.

Its federal law.
Which they are probably violating.

I think we've beat on this enough, not the topic of the thread.

NSA is a Title 50 organization, doing anything against American citizens without a warrant is illegal. Have they done it in the past, (cough Snowden, cough), who knows???

Forwarded to who? Shoemate is supposedly showing an email sent to him.

Does edit mode kick in when you are forwarding an email received?
Dunno who forwarded to, you can see in the header it says forwarded so it was at least forwarded once. Edit does kick in on the body of the email when forwarded. Like beard said might be editing for the redaction.

I was asking because The army intel guy MacBeth used the email being in edit mode as proof it was a fake.

Thanks for the info.

It's not complicated. People are too stupid to care that they agree to be spied on by corporations who then go sell that information to anyone with the money. If people stopped using those products the corporations would stop.
The corporations happily feed the government. We know this.

Constitution, laws, rights really???
All of that had validity a loooong time ago not so much today, unless you are rich then you can force it to still be relevant
Behind the curtain all of that means absolutely nothing, the proof is everywhere

The agenda is a one world government
Trump getting elected put a damper on that goal happening anytime soon as to why we are seeing all this shit unfolding as they scramble
