The issue is what it does to people who are taking defacto pay cuts. When people here got bumped from $9 to $14 it created a group of people who used to make $5 an hour more than minimum wage now making minimum wage. And then the people who went from $9 to $14 got their hours slashed.

Out of curiosity, what percentage of the American workforce actually works 40 hour weeks with a single employer and makes minimum wage?
 
$15 an hour for min wage here and small business didn’t die... min wage jobs are still abundant.

The arguments about those poor folk who make a few bucks over min wage is illogical... just like was told to min wage workers for years, you negotiate or earn your worth, if you don’t like it go get educated. To want to hold someone else down & to continue to earn a shit wage just so you can earn the same but ‘more then them kids’ is just sad. Check your ego or go improve what you offer an employer.

Even if people did have an effect on climate, you'd think our main goal would be to shutdown China and India. Just for starters y'know.

Nope. Just another way to shoehorn more taxes on the poor. Trudeau says it'll no longer be free to pollute, meanwhile millions of canadian pension dollars are invested in Chinese coal.

Incredible, given Shyna now produces double the pollution of the US, who are now, likely producing less than they did in 1990. 2018 had been falling since 2005, if not earlier.

Carbon PPM is a fun lookyhole.
