I've been playing it since the release... until Bethesda released a patch that fucked all my cool mods!!!! Goddammit!

But, yes, it's a nice game to enjoy in moderation.

Level 20 something and I'm still only getting in to it. I get killed with the quickness regularly.

Can someone please tell me a perfect workaround to get my precious mods working?
I've tried everything to the point where I had to reinstall the whole fucking game through steam to actually play (without mods).
I've modified all the .ini files ever. So frustrated!

I never once used her. I just got attached to Nick. His plight was one of the human condition; what is life, who am I, am I considered real, could I ever be my own man despite living in the shell of another, how to live even when people hate who you are. He was just a very humanizing and wonderful character to me.

you ever sort this out? I haven't used any mods my first playthrough. Will probably during my second playthrough to switch things up. Would be good to know how the patches are affecting them

I waited pretty much until the last possible moment to go to Diamond City. Got strong (puns intended) first. Lol!

They haven't totally fixed the modding with NMM (but really, it isn't their fault), but it's better. I still can't get some of the textures to work right. Yep, I'm talking about titties! Lol!

Is Piper any good? Nick does seem pretty cool. I was VERY surprised when I busted him out of the jail.

I've used Strong a bit and he kind of likes me.

I've got the Meth head Cait with me at the moment. Just randomly picking and choosing them - she just gave me a side quest to help her get clean which involves a vault full of Riflemen.

There were a couple of times when I had to drop Nick to do a mission with Piper or Strong. I'd send him back to Sanctuary Hills, but he'd never be there when I'd go back for him. Lost him for a couple hours before I found out he was waiting at quest location.

I keep thinking the Fallout NV companion system was better but maybe I am missing something. Only level 20.

I remember in Fallout NV you could instruct your companion when to engage, aggresiveness, etc. Just a minor observation.
