Nah didn't play that one. Cliff notes?
You go on a couple of missions to try to free a stuck ship in one of the buildings downtown. It's controlled by a bunch of robots who think they're pirates. At the end you get a cannon that you can fire from your hip.

You can also choose to fuck them over and side with some scabs nearby.

It's extremely satisfying to sneak up on the bad guys, drop a smoke grenade amidst them and then get the hell out of there before the incoming hits.

Am I the only one who killed Paladin Danse right at the police station, just because he threw an attitude? Had BoS attacking my settlements by the way...

All my free time has been consumed with fallout 4 since release, of course did midnight release lol. Only real issue is survivor could have been more. Wish they would have went hardcore route from new vegas.

Fallout 4 severely disappointed me compared to the previous games. A significant grind fest.

I just wander around exploring half the time, so it never felt like a grind yet for me.
There are significantly lower amounts of quests to find, even than Fallout 3, and when you find parts it may not even start the quest. You just have bits of the quest in your inventory until you come across whoever it is starts the quest.

Faction reputation is gone, it doesn't matter how many BOS Virtabirds you blow up, it won't affect how they react to you, unlike previous games. Karma is gone, so you can do whatever you like, to whoever you like, with no consequences. Quest trees are gone, for the most part, replaced by gain assignment - kill mob - collect reward mechanics.

Instead of interesting quests were you experience what is going on, like previous games, you now can only read about interesting things that happened on computers in text form.

And the building, don't get me started, it takes forever.

Just checked the total quest numbers. Obviously some are not able to be completed if you complete others.
Fallout 4 - 144
Fallout 3 - 59 (93 after expansions)
New Vegas - ~102

But yeah, I would have like karma to have played a bigger part in the game.

You're right, there are more overall quests, but I was talking about ones you find by stumbling across things while exploring. I wonder how many of those 144 are given out by Gavin Preston. Go to x -> speak to x -> save them from x, is the vast majority of quests.

Those quests, I believe, are infinite. They're for harvesting experience (and help exploring areas you might not have ran into along the way). Each of the factions has one of these kinds of infinite quests. The Brotherhood of Steel have that guy who asks for technical documents and the scientist lady who needs blood vials - both of which, I think are infinite in nature.

But I do remember feeling like Fallout 3 had more quests find by exploring the wastelands. Fallout 4 seems like it has a shit ton of quests but most of which are started in areas that you naturally come to. Maybe my memory is way off base, but I recall Fallout 3 having a bunch of quests that you could find in way-out-of-the-way places, you know? Places you would never have found from following the main quest or just marginally exploring.

I like the creative process of building my settlements and making them impenetrable. I also pick up every item I see, so crafting is a breeze.

If you have high AP and caps are no issue, you can literally jump from rooftop to rooftop downtown.
