It’s Wednesday…..

AEW mens roster has over 120 talent listed and the women’s is about 40, most haven’t
been on TV in ages. That’s a big payroll just to retain their rights while allowing them to be booked on Indies, Japan and Mexico.

One of the dirt sheets is expecting Shockwave to be on Fox or Paramount+.

Did a quick google search & found this page:

As of Sept 9th, it says WWE has 235 people on the roster - which includes wrestlers, managers, announcers, etc. That's main roster, NXT, and as it lists guys like Joe Hendry, Zachary Wentz, etc, seems to include TNA crossovers, too.

AEW is listed as having 200 people + ROH having 120, though a few people seem to be listed on both.

Either way, TK having roughly 100 more people on his roster than WWE (and that includes a *bunch* of NXT scrubs) is bananas.

if it’s on a big network or app it definitely needs someone like Shane to run it

I was reading what Brett hart thought about wrestlers the other day. One of them was Walter / Gunter whatever. He doesnt like all the leg slaps and chops.

I thought wtf is a leg slap?

Apparently when he was in the audience front row for him Vs whoever, the kids in the crowd slap Thier own legs when a chop or kick lands. And it pissed bret off because the art of the sport was selling it as real in his day and now they are all in on it.

Made me think of hot when swerve killed wheeler with 3 ninja kicks that all had slap...

So what was that big announcement
Not really sure…..

Mox challenged Darby for Darby’s eventual title shot since Bryan won’t be cleared to defend. Stupid thing was they made a big deal allowing Nigel McGuiness to challenge Bryan to a match on the SAME CARD if Bryan is cleared to wrestle.

Hangman is playing a psycho perfectly. Pop of the night was when The Outrunners entered the gauntlet and cleaned house.

There are a lot of rumors that Britt Baker is still in the dog house. Hasn’t been mentioned since the match with Mercedes. Heard that she and Cole may have broken up. He’s moving back to Pennsylvania and stated he is doing so alone.

oh wow what got her in the dog house?

Oh ok yea I read that a while ago. I think from you .
There was some incident but MJF and Ospreay downplayed it online. Britt was supposedly suspended following the show and wasn’t on tv for a couple weeks. After the match with Mercedes there were rumors she was sandbagging during that match and was suspended again or is serving the rest of whatever suspension. TK just didn’t have anyone else to face Mercedes so had to use her.

I don’t watch his streams, Cole made reference to them being offline for a while because he was moving back to Pennsylvania while specifically calling out that he was moving back alone. Thus the break-up rumors. Both are from PA so it just may be their long term plan. He needs to transition to a manager/announcer role anyway if he stays in the business.

I love the Outrunners' predator double elbow drop

Dude, I don't really hang on matches anymore for whatever reason,be it predictability, not following it closely, whatever the reason. But when they hit their finisher and got so close to the three count, I was literally like "Holy shit, YES, Tony can do good booking!" And when it got broken up, at the very last second possible, I got that roller coaster ride, like "NOOOOOO!" Was a good feeling.

Also shout out to the camera person, dude did an excellent job. When that false finish hit the focus was on the pin and nothing else, so when it got broken up, you didn't see it coming. And on the Superplex to the outside the focus was completely on the wrestlers involved in the move,so when they hit the group waiting for them it was a surprise. Like holy shit, he's gonna superplex him to the floor, and then it panned into the chaos. And they caught the actual finish of the match nicely, too. Don't watch religiously, but don't remember it being that sharp, and even worse in a match with this many moving parts

The Outrunners are working social media to perfection. The old school vignettes that look like they were filmed on a VHS camcorder are money. Fans photoshopping them into promotions from the 1980’s crack me up. Haven’t seen that much online support since Danhausen so hopefully they don’t flame out like he did.
