Rural and southern states really gotta do something about that accent. You can’t expect anyone to take you seriously when you sound like that.
I actually like a good Southern accent. I even sometimes refer to my friends collectively as "y'all", both because I like the way it sounds, and also to troll them.
I also like telling them "that dog don't hunt" when I think an idea is stupid.
A good Southern accent sounds cool on a man and sexy on a woman, too. A bad one yeah, they just sound like they're pretty thick. But then, everyone in New Zealand sounds like a not too bright farmer, so they can't talk shit.
