Also check these out too. Some good French whipping

Best girl UK friend's boyfriend was in the fake army. Fucking LOVED Sharpe, used to talk about it all the time.
When Afghanistan kicked off he quit in actual tears worried he was going to get called up.

The girl in the middle is Jayne Ashbourne. I knew her quite, quite well.

She was in Sharpe. Her sister is married to Andy Serkis. He's a cool dude. She is not.

Ad Astra 7

Only reason I go that high is because the first half was *edit* worth watching.
Good acting, good suspense, great concept & awesome moon & space shots.
If nothing else, a model for good movies to come.

But the 2nd half got shredded on the editorial room floor, possibly with the script.
Shame.

Tried twice, put me to sleep twice. Brad's my favourite actor but it didn't do it for me.

Venom (Tom Hardy) - 6.5/10.

Worth watching for Eddie Brock and Venom's interactions.
I liked it but wasn't mad for it and I would happily watch Hardy read the back of a shampoo bottle to me for an hour.

Bit too tongue in cheek, I wanted him to be more scary.

Yeah, that's pretty much how I arrived at a 6.5. In my opinion it's worth seeing and I'm very much looking forward to the sequel. I wanted to love it, but thought I was going to hate it. I look forward to the day that movie studios are a little more honest with themselves about what they can or can't do with CGI and have it be believable, and I don't mean in the suspensoin of belief sense, I mean in the "This looks like a fucking cartoon" sense.

I must have forgotten there was going to be a sequel or didn't know. It needed to be a lot darker, I wasn't expecting to go into the cinema and laugh.
Like I said, still enjoyed it but it wasn't what I expected from it.
