Who knows? Insert cliche about truth in war here.

If it's just propaganda, then they have done a very good job at triangulating the various aspects of it. Which is possible.

But I think it is more likely that it is just true.

Ever since that new guy turned up and said hello, half of the posts seem to be long time members acting like utter children and shitting up the thread.

I give it a one in three chance he sticks around long term, and I believe I'm being somewhat optimistic in that assessment.

I don’t think so. I heard claims of 3200 dead Russians and an old school, 2 on 1 inside visual range dogfight with the older Ukrainian plane winning.

This is what I was talking about earlier. If you buy into that view, how do you feel about your leader Leader Putin shelling your own countrymen including women and children? About being conscripted to go fight them?
I know that Russian propaganda is good for nationalistic goals. But when the rubber meets the road, this entire one Russia view has to undermine the moral standing of the leadership using it to wage war against their own nation then.

No it’s just old school russian imperialism, they are “Greater Russia” and Ukraine is “Lesser Russia.” Many Russians consider it their place to dominate Belarus and Ukraine.
