The LVMPD report or the FBI report?Go look at the official timeline in the police report
Pretty sure it was the fbi but not positive honestlyThe LVMPD report or the FBI report?
Wut? Nutshell it?Is it too soon for me to ask you to nutshell it?
barrel would be that hot for sure...only the bare barrel though....if the barrel has a guard on it, it is probably not gonna heat up hot enough to burn fabricGun people
If you were the rest an ar15 on say a sofa chair head rest area and shoot 100 round mags, would the barrel heat up enough to burn the fabric on the couch?
Would there be any smoke residue?
Or would the chair look normal, like before the shooting begins?
This is a very important question
Edit: @the_b00ts ?
Yeah, but I'm also not sure why someone would place a barrel on something to fire. When someone fires a rifle from an anchored position, they will typically set the elbow of their lead arm on whatever shooting platform they are using rather than placing the barrel there. That or use a bipod.barrel would be that hot for sure...only the bare barrel though....if the barrel has a guard on it that may not heat up hot enough to burn fabric
you can burn your hand on a bare barrel though...I did it and only probably 30 rounds needed to get that baby hot as F...was a colt M4
would leave a mark on fabric I think, but hard to know if it would ignite(probably not IMO, depends on fabric)

I don't get where the bipod could sit unless it was on the head rest but wouldn't it be bouncing off?Yeah, but I'm also not sure why someone would place a barrel on something to fire. Never heard of it, but Wikipedia gives a shout out.One other question
Who in here is aware of what the smith-mundt act is and what happened in 2013?
I didn't say he was using a bipod. I was just describing how rifles are typically shot.I don't get where the bipod could sit unless it was on the head rest but wouldn't it be bouncing off?
There is only one place he can shoot from in 35 and it's on top of the chair
People need to give that a readNever heard of it, but Wikipedia gives a shout out.

The guns definitely had bipods but Ya I know you don't know if he used itI didn't say he was using a bipod. I was just describing how rifles are typically shot.
Though, I think I recall seeing photos taken from a helicopter looking into the rooms where a rifle with a bipod is visible sitting on a bed, but I think that was from the second room where he shot at the fuel tanks from rather than the bump fire into the crowd.
ya I was just speaking about Hot barrels after 5.56 rounds...nothing moreYeah, but I'm also not sure why someone would place a barrel on something to fire. They were. 223 roundsya I was just speaking about Hot barrels after 5.56 rounds...nothing more
They were. 223 rounds
What about them?
Would a person who was shot multiple times with .223 bullets be ok to be released from hospital within two days?
Thanks for the great info man
very similar but they produce different pressures so some guns prefer only one of the rounds and some are able to use both
as for the wounds they cause I don't know...I only shot at wood...they are high speed rounds and can cause some serious damage but i will defer to @the_b00ts or somebody who has seen a wound firsthand
I'm still looking and not finding it so I might very well be wrong hereThe LVMPD report or the FBI report?
I remember the LVMPD report listing a timeline, but theirs said the shooting began toward the crowd first.I'm still looking and not finding it so I might very well be wrong here
I went back and relistened to the first shots we hear before the semi auto sound and it very well could be single shotting the ar trying to get aiming down
Going to keep looking throughout the night and will post it if I find it, but again, I might be remembering wrong
I'm going to see if I can find the video of people supposedly being hit from the first shotsI remember the LVMPD report listing a timeline, but theirs said the shooting began toward the crowd first.
