That's reasonable. One of my friends had a John Wick Combat Master for a while. That thing was incredible.
The shop I bought this at has the Taran John Wick guns and a lot of Taran modified polymer guns as well (glock, sig...). I fucked around with the Sand Viper a little bit just messing with the slide and trigger, super nice piece of machinery...but $9k is a lot when Atlas feel just as nice. Apparently the Taran is the current champ in competition, or world record or some shit...I don't follow competitive shooting, but I'm aware it is worth the cost for those involved in that hobby.

The slide on that gun felt like it was on ball bearings. If memory serves it was about $5k when he bought it. He ended up selling it to some rich kid for a tidy profit.

I didn't think I'd notice a difference in a slide or overall quality without shooting a gun, but when I originally went to the shop and checked out what was on display, there was a pretty significant difference in each price point until I hit $6k, then after that it was negligible. Went there for one gun, walked out buying 3... fuck my life. I'm not good at shopping.

My Christmas present to myself. Not sure which rifle I'm going to pair it with yet though. Trying to stop myself from buying a new one lol
Do you want to join my militia?
It doesn't have a name yet, but we'd hold 50/50 majority over the rest for name rights.
I was thinking "We Are Foxtrot Uniform Kilo Delta".

I don't disagree. There's definitely a law of diminishing returns. I've had the chance to shoot more handguns than most people ever will but all that have stayed with me are my 226 and my old Colt 1911.

I never sell any guns, even if I don't like them. Liberals are really fucking shit up. No telling if they will be needed at some point, either by me, a neighbor, family member, or whatever. Not happy to buy something I end up hating, but more than happy to keep it for "what if" factors.

Unfortunately things are a little different here. You don't want to be caught without, but you also don't want to have to give them away for free under threat of death.

You're lucky to have a shop with such top notch choices. Is it also a range where you can rent them?

In all seriousness I have a close friend with an insane collection. The Rapier and Scimitar I posted are fully functional, he has an Abrams as well and some really creepy shit I won't post. His complex is almost 20k acres and he has his own howitzer range on it, yes he has the artillery and makes his own rounds.

We do a lot of work together professionally and have grown to be friends. Shit hits the fan I'll be there.

I'm heading to one of his complexs later this month to discuss some experimentation. We work mainly modernization of weapon systems and strategic innovations for different government organizations.

I have a lot of toys and I'm no where near what this dude has.

Can I join part-time?
