fair enough. I've never stained cedar personally. Don't mind the aged look and never have to worry about going through staining over and over lol
As long as you use a product that slowly dissipates rather than peels your cedar will last much longer and look way better. A lot of my customers make the mistake of using a plastic finish and not an oil, that is where you run into problems with wood decks.

@ShatsBassoon is right, Sikkens is really great. I don't sell it but I do sell a product called Penofin that is equal to Sikkens in my opinion.

WTF @Shinkicker? If they don't want their locks picked, don't drive a Nissan whose locks are notoriously easy to pass either with finesse or brute force. It's not my fault that they don't know how weak their locks are nor that I had 5 free minutes in my day to compromise them.

Hey I got a fucking idea. Let's put the starter right below the main exhaust from the manifold and right above the drive shaft. Hey, let's throw a fucking frame cross brace in the way for good measure.

Fucking assholes.

Got it out though. Took the tire off along with the wheel well splash guard and there was JUST enough room to snake it out without taking the entire car apart. My knuckles are bloodied, but it's done.

Luckily it broke while my wife was at her parent's house. That allowed my father-in-law (who is 85) and his neighbor to set up their lawn chairs in front of the Jeep and make wise cracks at me all afternoon while they drank beer.

Use a wrench!
Swivel socket, boy! Swivel socket!
The starter probably ain't even broke - What you gonna do then?
Might as well change the oil while your under there.

They were doing it in purpose too. Each comment was followed by a chuckle silenced only from them taking another swig of their beer.

Got it done though. And it was the starter. Bitch started right up.

All in - $70 after the core return.

2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.7
If you have one and need the starter replaced - give me a call. I'll bring my lawn chair. 😉

Cut grass, showered, marinated steaks, hit up TMMAC, popped a Honey Brown Lager, just fired up the grill.

Fights and football the rest of the day.

I got asked for ID at the pub by a chick at least ten years younger than me.

I'd been wondering what age snatch I should be hunting.

Guess I'll just lie and say I'm 23 from now on

She might be 23. But her snatch is probably 57 in vagina years.

Fresh cut res cedar is gorgeous and it's really difficult to preserve that look. I find it worth it. Only every 3-4 years. Gives a guy something to do

I'm thinking about replacing the wood siding on my front porch area with cedar siding planks. Other than the siding on the front porch area, the front of my house is white limestone blocks. I think the cedar would look good in contrast to the stone. I could also face the 4x4 posts on the porch with cedar to make them match.

Well, fuck. I'm starting the process today of painting the outside of my house. My 20 year old roof got replaced last weekend, and the paint on the house is about 10 years old so it looks pretty shitty next to the new roof.

The flashings were not done properly before, so my entire chimney was rotten (everything below the roof line). Got that all rebuilt and sided with hardy plank. Going to paint the chimney today so that it's sealed up.

Then on to the rest of the house. Power washing, re-tacking siding and slats as needed, replacing rotten wood here and there, and lots of caulking (I love caulk, no momo). I'm going to seal this bitch up good. The prep time for this project will be way longer than the painting.

*sigh* better get back at it!

See you bitches in the live thread tonight!

Screw the porch. Get untreated cedar and smoke some fresh salmon on it.

Red Cedar really matches well with black if you can add black batons or trim it would really make your project shine.
