Thoughts on blue cheese and steak?

I love blue cheese so wasn't hating just teaching you English.

It's good, but steak by itself should be good. Add to that some slightly melted crumbles, and you won't complain. Honestly, I prefer steak by itself, but crumbles on a burger is never a bad idea.

I can support yet another McGregor fan today? Christ almighty, the world really does end tomorrow!!

I walked out of one of David Burke's restaurants because the GM chewed someone's ass out in the middle of the dining room on a Friday night for not having steak sauce on the table. Don't get me wrong, David Burke's steak sauce is really fucking good, but if you're dropping 90 bucks on a 75 day dry aged prime chunk of ribeye, and they will happily give you a tour of the aging room if you ask, the steak should be able to stand on it's own. Even if you are going to bust some balls about something like that, you do it in the kitchen or the office, not in the middle of the floor. I think the GM did a lot of blow, just a gut feeling.

Yeah but cheese has more protein than steak but agree that a good steak should be enough on it's own. I feel bad adding a clove of garlic to the pan when searing my steak but Gordon Ramsey says its okay

Salt and pepper are always cool. Garlic depending on what you are going for. Other than that, fuck off!

Will be hard to top my seared pork chops with 'apple sauce', (seared strained apples flambe'd with calvados) the apples were then served as the side, that I made a bit back.

Sadly is I lost the Oakleys in the hard case the very next day thanks, once again to my greatest enablers, who worked at the Boss Bar. 420 N. Clark street. Used to be the best dive bar in the city, until they tried to make it classy, and they fucked it all up. I think I have one of their calendars of their bartenders, I'll see if I can find it. I would move to Hungaria to see Liana again....and her boyfriend was such a fucking mongoloid. I'll never know what she saw in that guy, unless he was hung like a palm tree. And even then she deserved better, like me.

Edit: Yes, they have an annual calendar of their hot fucking bartenders. Still do as far as I know. Might not be haute cuisine, but if you're looking for a fun bar that's open to 4am - sadly I have been there more times then I care to admit when they turned the lights on - this is a great bar to go to and have a good time. They still kept the dive bar side, but expanded to a higher class section too. If you meet a manager named Colin, punch him in the face. I will pay your bail.

Thank you. And it was one of my favorite off the cuff creations I ever made. But Liana: I would have loved to have tasted her. Not only was she gorgeous, but anytime I went on some rant about someone being an asshole or someone being batshit crazy, she was always able to ask me one question that would make me rethink what I just said. I miss this girl. And she made a great drink, named after herself. Stoli raspberry, Stoli bluberry, sprite, lemonade, and I might be missing something, its been a few years. Side note one of the other bartenders, equally gorgeous, won her weight division of Chicago's Golden Gloves - because the other chick didn't show up for the fight. Hot blooded little latina with dynamite in her hands. I'd have been scared too. But back to Liana.
