guy in locker next to me in HS had a duffel of rifles...got kicked from schoolI'd like to see the mental health issue addressed more. We (the hospital) regularly turn patients away due to the "overt act" law. (You can't force treatment unless they commit an overt act.) Its kinda too late then.
When I went to high school it wasn't unusual to see long guns hanging in a rack in the back window of a truck in the parking lot. However, school shootings were almost unheard of. I think it's more a society issue. Video games and social media are raising our kids.
Maybe it's just me but in the majority of these cases, parents don't seem very involved with their kid's lives.
was 1992...he cleared out his parents and he was going to school one last time before running away....
I didn't think twice of it....then in 1994 a kid shot his family and some students a few miles away from my school
