yes, i do realise your recycle, but misspelled 'touché', so as not to bow too deeply
yes you are right about the money being important.

Ohhhh, now I get it. I read your post with the word "touchy" and was wondering what gives. Touchè changes everything.yes, i do realise your recycle, but misspelled 'touché', so as not to bow too deeply

Ya I hear ya...I don't like that eitherI’m far extreme of SJW. I just hate seeing guys knees get wrecked.
pretty much how I see itLeave the technique be. I love Wonderboy but his compalint is coming after a guy figured out his bait and range game. He fought long opponent who figured out he could keep Thompson at bay with the kicks to the knee and was injured him in the process. Fighters need to decide if playing the bait game from outside is worth risking their knee getting fucked up. If they're good at it then it's a non issue. If they keep getting kicked in the knee they'll need to adjust gameplan, not ask for rules to be put in place to favour their style.
This complaint would be like Koscheck asking to ban the jab after GSP busted his face up.
I like the real politik in this.Ya I hear ya...I don't like that either
but I just see arguing over possible new rules, when current rules are not enforced or are so subjective
Eyepokes and knees to a guy playing the grounded game are not enforced or called properly
When current rules are enforced regularly then we can think of more rules if we want
I just think a guy will throw a kick to a knee and get a warning....Big fucking deal...damage will be done already
I just read thread and people are arguing all types of wacky shit LOL...cracks me up
PrideFc never die
Thanks
We want our fighters to be able to reproduce, to make the next generation of fighters, and for that they need their eyesight to locate women and their loins to commit the deed. Who gives a fuck about a knee joint. Answered. You know basically every single dipshit that has the same opinion as you already said the first part, right? And it's almost word for word the same inane generic response that gets trotted out every time this topic comes up.
We've clearly explained our position as to why they are different from normal techniques, that, yes, can cause serious injury but can also finish fights and can do so WITHOUT causing serious injury. That's two key differences and it's why these kicks are similar to rabbit punches.
So now the argument is for you to adequately explain why it's any different to ban groin kicks and rabbit punches. All you've come up with is 'groin kicks aren't a good look'. The same can be said, and often is, of these kicks.
Rampage says Bones fucked up his knees permanently. Till this day he says its a dirty tactic.to my knowledge, Wonderboy is the only person who has ever claimed direct injury from the technique. And no one can say how weak his MCL was from years of karate/TKD style kicking.
And even his injury is a long way from "career-ending".
Paul Harris received a stiff suspension the one time he actually ignored the referee instruction. Everything after that is complete horse shit.Paul Harris should have been banned, not heel hooks.
Most of the techniques banned for being "dirty" are also ineffective in an actual fight. Groin strikes and small joint manipulations are good examples of this.Sure, stop kicks 'immobilize a body part to prevent it from being weaponized', and a groin shot can immoblize someone's entire body and stop it from being weaponized. When you punch someone in the chin, you aren't aiming to prevent their chin from being 'weaponized'. So I can immediately dismiss your argument the same way others have tried to dismiss mine - why not ban strikes to the chin if the only rule is that you can target 'weapons'? Why are small joint manipulation subs illegal? A broken finger or toe is a hell of a lot less severe than a torn ACL and that targets a 'weapon'?
Lulz at a guy named Karate chop trashing a karate guy. Maybe we should just decide fights by breaking concrete blocks.I'd rather just ban Wonderboy. Stop stinking up arenas with your women's self defence style of karate, you bum
Rampage hasn't stopped whining since he left Pride, it's kind of hard to take anything he says seriously.Rampage says Bones fucked up his knees permanently. Till this day he says its a dirty tactic.
The hallmarks of every good argument:You know basically every single dipshit that has the same opinion as you already said the first part, right? And it's almost word for word the same inane generic response that gets trotted out every time this topic comes up.

I am starting an "All-Biting" league. The only technique allowed is biting, but u have to let go after one second. I know, I know. All the purists are going to be up in arms saying, "If u don't want me to rip large chunks of your flesh off, then make me stop!" I just think it makes the sport more exciting and dynamic. Who wants to watch a guy sink his teeth into someone's love handles and not let go for 15 mins?Groin shots are so cheap
You might as well also allow someone to hide a knife and use it for good measure to gouge someone’s eye out to get an advantage
What is the defense? I have been thinking about it a bit since I saw your post.I like them. I think at some point some one might figure out a defense that will negate them. It's part of the sport.
the plural is "Deez nuts"
kicks and punches have also broken fighters eye sockets and jaws. rich Franklin wants knees banned.Tim Sylvia says arm bars should be banned.
Big Nog doesn't like kimuras.
Paul Herrera thinks the crucifix should not be part of MMA.
Wah, wah, wah.
Edit: ^^sarcasm^^
Those guys didn't whine when they got hurt.
Imo it's all about positioning and style. Not every move needs a specific technique to counter beyond not being in a position for it to be used. Think of the few guys who had success against Semmy Schelt in kickboxing. He used that front kick on everyone who chose to stand there but if you could use footwork to get inside you could get some shots in.What is the defense? I have been thinking about it a bit since I saw your post.
Open flat stance like Bas Rutten is all I can think of but that takes away a bunch of techniques....that is all I got so far LOL
Maybe shogun's light on front foot muy thai MMA stance/style(have to be really athletic, and sucks for wrestling/TD defense)
lets hypothesize on the defense...makes more sense than making a new rule
