They typically get deployed during situations like this to help, I believe they did during the last Chinese flu, SARS.

Yeah. I think the gov said the guard would be carrying water, food and sanitizer - not guns.

The guns are probably disassembled in their packs or rolled up in their sleeping mats.............not that we've ever done that before or anything while providing aid.................

Christ I know, embarrassing. I mean my area closed beaches early but Clearwater Beach, though 3.5 hours away, is still part of my state so I have to take the heat for it.

In my defense, most of the spring breakers are from NY or NJ.

I saw some of these interviews, so embarrassing... as a parent, it must be horrifying to see one of their own being a total ass on TV. Just looks so bad.

Texas national guard is already activated.
Two fold mission:

1> mobile testing facilities to augment civilian testing centers...people prepped, supplies pending.
2> behind that is a ton of logistics units for sustainment. Food, water, fuel.
