This is what I don't get. ABC's doctor woman early on was saying that wearing a mask for protection won't help because the spores are so small they'll get through it anyway. Now everyone is being advised to wear one.

I'm assuming she was wrong. Some protection has to be way better than no protection.

it's common sense. wearing a mask is more protection than no mask. just wear them properly and don't touch the mask. before you put it on and go in the store, make sure it's properly on. maybe sanitize your hands before putting the mask on? there are so many different methods other than just, "don't wear mask cuz it doesn't do anything"

if they say reason is that people don't know how to properly wear a mask, then why don't they teach the people how to properly wear a mask properly? instruct them to not fuck with their masks when they wear it.

The midwest has it right, you haven't really had it full throttle as yet. I knew the bay area would be fucked because most of Silicon Valley's production is in China. I knew NYC would get fucked because it's so densely populated.

Downtown Cincy is a ghost town. It's fucking weird. I think where NY got fucked was the subway system. Close quarters and everyone touching the same areas.

Vagabond said our Costco was a bit of a nightmare the other day but I haven't really seen any mayhem here first hand. My Rite Aid is next to a Safeway and people weren't queuing round the block, I saw one person heading in with a shopping cart.

I don't need any but the Rite Aid shelves were empty of TP. Some horrible wench butted in when I was mid transaction with the pharmacist demanding to know where the thermometers were...of which, fuck you, they had none.

This could be so much worse if we weren't all inside our houses, it could even hit 1800 but I don't think we will ever see that number.
I was talking about it w the ppl in line at lowes. And then I talked about it at Wal Mart since the line was so long I got bored. And also discussed it briefly at Wendy's drive thru. We all agreed this would be so much worse if we had contact w other ppl.

I'm not wearing a mask all day. I hate those fucking things. They get your face hot and make you sweat, and they always fog up safety glasses.

I will just stay 6 feet away from folks so if they sneeze I can matrix-dodge their droplet spray.

the surgical ones, or the the sewn ones, won't fog up...and they can be comfortable. they'll do a lot to keep your fingers away from direct contact with your nose and mouth. So far, the only indicator of getting the Bad COVID is the viral load...getting hit with a lot of virus or repeated exposure

It's just something that it takes a day or two to get used to. I worked in a clean-room for years, so it's just one of those things I didn't have a choice about. But I was doing maintenance work in a full bunny suit, that's a shitfest of suffering...a fabric facemask is an easy adaptation.
