Not if the droplet got in my eyethere might be that one who's asymptomatic and breathing heavy, releasing some droplets while passing you by, you won't even know~
but if you had a mask on, you'd be protected

if Doctors and Nurses wear it to protect themselves, then I'm sure if you properly wear them, it helps more than it doesn't.This is what I don't get. ABC's doctor woman early on was saying that wearing a mask for protection won't help because the spores are so small they'll get through it anyway. Now everyone is being advised to wear one.
I'm assuming she was wrong. Some protection has to be way better than no protection.
Because dr's have to get close to patients who are sneezing and coughing. My assumption is that they are also wearing a face shield of some sort.if masks protect the doctors from catching it, how would they not protect the regular citizens?
if they say reason is that people don't know how to properly wear a mask, then why don't they teach the people how to properly wear a mask properly? instruct them to not fuck with their masks when they wear it.
if fitting is a problem, then why don't they teach people how to properly fit their mask and use it properly? like don and clear ?
IDK man~ you might be ok with it but to me, it's non-sense.
How is H Mart? Are they busy or normal? I have everything I need so I won't go but for ages H Mart were the only place in the area that sold green papaya. And now I can't have it, I really want green papaya.if Doctors and Nurses wear it to protect themselves, then I'm sure if you properly wear them, it helps more than it doesn't.
there's always that asymptomatic asshole who breaks all the distancing rules. like today, I was at the H-mart and clearly, there are tapes marked on the floor but they're all up on your ass, or a different asymptomatic person who just pops up around the corner, who might say sorry but the type that spits a lot when they talk~
it's common sense. wearing a mask is more protection than no mask. just wear them properly and don't touch the mask. before you put it on and go in the store, make sure it's properly on. maybe sanitize your hands before putting the mask on? there are so many different methods other than just, "don't wear mask cuz it doesn't do anything"
you can still teach them. they're instructing people on how to properly wash your hands, why not educate them? there was not effort on that part.Because dr's have to get close to patients who are sneezing and coughing. My assumption is that they are also wearing a face shield of some sort.
And they've been trained on how to wear one. I've had to wear a mask off and on depending on what type of work i'm doing. I know how to wear one. Most don't.
We still have young adults who don't know how to wear pants correctly. You think they are going to grasp the concept of a mask?
so then it does raise your chances since you limit the way of contamination to one area, instead of threeNot if the droplet got in my eye

most people were wearing a mask except for few. maybe it's cuz Asian market and Asians are accustomed to wearing masks but I've noticed 95% of people in the store (including employees) were all wearing masks and gloves. How is H Mart? Are they busy or normal? I have everything I need so I won't go but for ages H Mart were the only place in the area that sold green papaya. And now I can't have it, I really want green papaya.
how so? I didn't even adjust my mask once today after putting them on. I sanitized my hands with alcohol before I put them on and before I took them off.But in the end it changed nothing.
And you touched your face 64% more often because you had a mask on.
So it did change that.
A droplet was living inside your respirator before you put it on.how so? I didn't even adjust my mask once today after putting them on. I sanitized my hands with alcohol before I put them on and before I took them off.
for sure man~ I just want people to be safe and not contaminate each otherA droplet was living inside your respirator before you put it on.
Jokes. If you want to wear one, wear one. I wish you nothing but the best. The quicker this is all beyond us the better.
I really haven't been out much. I wasn't taking it particularly seriously till I went to Lion supermarket on Story Road like a month ago and saw so many people in masks it raised a concern. I imagine if I went there today, like you said with H-Mart the majority of people would be wearing them.most people were wearing a mask except for few. maybe it's cuz Asian market and Asians are accustomed to wearing masks but I've noticed 95% of people in the store (including employees) were all wearing masks and gloves.
it wasn't busy when I first got there but by the time I was checking out, it started to get crowded
Nobody is wearing them in the midwest. Nobody.I really haven't been out much. I feel like I should be supporting local businesses more, but I have no need to buy anything at the moment.
The midwest has it right, you haven't really had it full throttle as yet. I knew the bay area would be fucked because most of Silicon Valley's production is in China. I knew NYC would get fucked because it's so densely populated.Nobody is wearing them in the midwest. Nobody.
Actually, that's not true. I saw one guy at Lowe's wearing one the other day.
People are being smart. Keeping a distance. The midwest has it right, you haven't really had it full throttle as yet. I knew the bay area would be fucked because most of Silicon Valley's production is in China. I knew NYC would get fucked because it's so densely populated.
Your tent in the middle of nowhere for a month would be a score right now.
Vagabond said our Costco was a bit of a nightmare the other day but I haven't really seen any mayhem here first hand. My Rite Aid is next to a Safeway and people weren't queuing round the block, I saw one person heading in with a shopping cart.People are being smart. Keeping a distance.
Downtown Cincy is a ghost town. It's fucking weird. I think where NY got fucked was the subway system. Close quarters and everyone touching the same areas.
And a lot of people wearing masks. That didn't help either.
Why are you like this?It has reached a number Ive only read about in math books. 1704.
Googolplex....bazillion......1704......now dead.
This could be so much worse if we weren't all inside our houses, it could even hit 1800 but I don't think we will ever see that number.
I was talking about it w the ppl in line at lowes. And then I talked about it at Wal Mart since the line was so long I got bored. And also discussed it briefly at Wendy's drive thru. We all agreed this would be so much worse if we had contact w other ppl.
Stay safe
the surgical ones, or the the sewn ones, won't fog up...and they can be comfortable. they'll do a lot to keep your fingers away from direct contact with your nose and mouth. So far, the only indicator of getting the Bad COVID is the viral load...getting hit with a lot of virus or repeated exposureHaha. Maybe.
I'm not wearing a mask all day. I hate those fucking things. They get your face hot and make you sweat, and they always fog up safety glasses.
I will just stay 6 feet away from folks so if they sneeze I can matrix-dodge their droplet spray.
I ain't gonna wear one, bro.the surgical ones, or the the sewn ones, won't fog up...and they can be comfortable. they'll do a lot to keep your fingers away from direct contact with your nose and mouth. It's just something that it takes a day or two to get used to. I worked in a clean-room for years, so it's just one of those things I didn't have a choice about. But I was doing maintenance work in a full bunny suit, that's a shitfest of suffering...a fabric facemask is an easy adaptation.
stay safe, fren.
But I was doing maintenance work in a full bunny suit
Wear a mask and swimming goggles. Not if the droplet got in my eye
