Ambassador urges US air strikes amid fears Kabul will fall in 30 days
The Afghan Ambassador to the United States has urged President Joe Biden to launch air strikes on the Taliban amid fears Kabul could fall within 30 days.
I've always hated "we did it for oil"; it's lazy thinking. Of course one could say that, and how can it be proven? Doesn't have to be, it's just a thing to say if you want to seem smart.

? Afghanistan is rich in mineral deposits, and China's strategy of collateralizing nations' natural resources in exchange for investment will come into play here. Really the question is, what's going to happen when the Taliban can't pay for that Chinese investment and China comes for those resources... And the opium.
