The initial statement was pointing out that the president doesn't control state politics. Anything you're reading into above that is imagined.

You are right. The President doesn't get blamed for state level legislation introduced by the opposing party. Because he has nothing to do with that.

Which President did get held accountable for bills passed at the state level by the opposing party somewhere in the nation? Names, examples?
