Nukes isn't something I'm willing to bluff with. Who knows what is truly in Putin's brain?
hindsight is 20/20. but i now wonder ...

- would it have been more likely that Putin uses nukes if many countries had smashed his initial assualt?
- or is it more likely that he uses nukes after his military is embarassed (relatively speaking), financial woes hit his country, and his people turn on him?

Probably the latter.
With Russia struggling to easily handle Ukraine, I'm sure Putin is way more frustrated than he was before this all started. My fear is he is further entrenched in "give me a reason" status.

Damn, you just reminded me of how delicious Kenny Rogers Roasters was back in the day.
I brought my wife to Malaysia for a vacation. This bia said she wanted to eat at Kenny Rogers Roasters...in Malaysia. Im being all pretentious about how we've traveled around The world just for her to eat at Kenny Rogers in a mall. Turns out the locals love it and eating there would have been one of the most Malaysian things she could have done.

One of my best friends works for Riot Games and they moved her to Singapore last year. She travels to their Malaysian office all the time and posts all the food (she goes to all kinds of places when there). I’m hoping to visit her at some point and travel to Malaysia to eat at all the places, but you bet your ass I’m going to be like your wife and eat Kenny Rogers while there.
Something about fast food places in Asian countries is appealing. They have Quiznos still in South Korea!

Dr Osterholm was on Rogan a couple weeks ago, I strongly suggest you make the time for it. Interesting stuff.
40 minutes in....
Joe needs to stop leading so hard with the loaded questions. I get what he's doing, trying to get osterholm to address all the stuff that's out there, but the way he's doing it comes across as a Lincoln Douglas debate about it instead of actually asking osterholm's opinion.

Also this episode would make Filthy @Filthy big mad so hard. Filthy @Filthy go listen.

Also I think the nuclear comparison remains accurate. Tulsi should be calling for the bio research equivalent of the IAEA instead of global cessation of critical research through fear mongering.

I agree, but given his last couple years, I found him to be fairly restrained, especially as the podcast goes on. For reference, I don't take everything Osterholm says as gospel, but I obviously respect his opinions, and more importantly I respect that he doesn't come off as a pompous know it all as most of the medical talking heads have throughout the pandemic.

If IAEA worked worth a fuck, this thread wouldn't be a thing, doc.
