Dinner: Butternut squash soup w/ seared scallops. I meant to make enough soup for the rest of the week, but I think I'm going to be covered for dinner for most of next week as well.

Smoked then grilled tri tip and Brussel sprouts. Not to brag on my nuts or anything, but I kind of nailed it. No big deal, I'm just the shit.

I'm going to make some tacos with leftover tri tip in a bit, but I just made myself a snack with canned smoked oysters, crackers, and mustard. Pretty bomb, even though it may not look appetizing.

Trying to figure out what to do with 3.5-4 lb Flap Meat Slab( What Is Flap Meat? And How to Cook It )
Might do a stew with garden veggies
Might break out the Grill
I'd season and then marinate in tampico (fake bullshit orange juice), then toss on the grill for carne asada. Tampico is good for nothing other than marinade, but it does its job 10 fold if you use it like I do. Great pops of citrus in the meat. Awesome with chicken marinades as well.
With flap meat, just make sure the grill is hot as shit, then keep flipping each time a bit of meat juice rises to the top so you don't dry it out. You have to man the grill for flap meat cooking. Flip, flip, flip, flip, flip....

Spatchcock the turkey instead. You will not regret it. Super fast cook and all the meat will be nice and juicy.
I’ve spatchcocked the turkey before and typically do it with chickens.
I’ve become partial to doing in on my smoker using Alton browns brine however.

I made enough of this for lunch throughout the week, and I thinned out the soup that I made prior with a bit of chicken stock. #sundaymealprep
