When people come on like frate trains telling other people how they're supposed to feel about insults with racial overtones, & are ignorant of historical content, it's fucking obnoxious
yet you tell them how they should feel about it but fail to recognize the hypocracy in this

Yes sir, Polish, Scottish, Irish, Swedish, Lithuanian, German, Italian, NA (allegedly)
Ok, so let's go with the first one and say just for the sake of discussion you are mostly Polish. Hope that's cool, if not tell me to fuck right off. :D

Alright, so we have a polish woman in this scenario. After a google search of "negative polish sterotypes" the first article i ran into listed 6 negative polish stereotypes. Here's the article i looked at: 6 big Polish stereotypes that are kinda silly

The list is:
1. They're stupid
2. They drink too much
3. They're religious zealots
4. They never smile i.e. unfriendly
5. They're all communists
6. They're anti-semitic

So let's say a Polish family member of yours (let's go with sister) goes to the hospital for getting into a car accident for a dui, which is also her fault as you stated above. Then let's also say a prominent public figure figure makes a public statement saying something along the lines of, "Well that was inevitable, what with the drinking all that racist stupid commie liquor."

Now, i'm no mind reader, but I dare say that it might torque you off in some fashion, especially if she was in critical condition and your emotions were very raw.

My point of this post was to illustrate that it's much easier to have a clinical, emotionally detached response when it's not your ass in the sling.

Please no one misconstrue anything i said as a statement of hate. Nothing could be further from the truth. :D

Again, let me reiterate what i said in an earlier post: Being overly sensitive is just as silly as being ignorant and saying inflammatory remarks.

You're really clueless, aren't you? I didn't tell anyone 'how to feel. I gave historical context about fried chicken & why it has racial overtones. I repeatedly explained how stupid it is for one group to tell another group how they should feel about racial insults directed at them.

Then again, I'm talking to same guy who tried to turn fried chicken & flavored soda in just 'chicken & soda'.

I understand that people like pretend everything is awesome since slavery & lynchings ended, but I just don't have the patience to deal with someone like you.

I figured you might be okay after your obtuse post, but you're one of those types I see on Facebook who's loud & proud of their ignorance. I don't have patience for people like you.

Anything else you wanna say before I put you on the ignore list with the handful of other obnoxious clowns I've run into here?

I can see that LOL. jason73 @jason73 is actually a really good dude though, even though y'all disagree. :D
It's not whether we disagree or not. There have been at least a couple of people I disagreed with on this thread. It's HOW you disagree.

He may be alright, but I don't really care to know him. He's either a troll or really, really dumb. I don't have patience for either.

LIke I said, fuck that guy.

You aren't aware that there is a stereotype associated with the African American community and flavored sodas? If you didn't know that, it's all good, but the stereotype does in fact exist.

That's cool if that's the way you see it. Not everyone will see it the same way though.

In addition, to your points not all people have the negative stigma attached. Of course we all eat chicken. That's not the point at all in my mind.

That's the world we live in haha. It's our righteously indignant culture.

There is a lot of racism and hate in the world, but when we start throwing that label around all willy nilly, it takes the power out of the word.

I'm confused by the last thing you said and here's why: Words only have the power that you give them. They can't innately be combined with each other and form Captain Planet or some shit.

Do you mind please explaining how does the word "racist/racism" have power over a person besides what they give it?

When a word gets used a lot, it loses it's power. Look at the word "faggot". It got thrown around so much for so long it had no real power or meaning, until a few years ago when suddenly we decided it was the "n-word" for gay people and now it's become a powerful word.

If we throw the words "racist" and "racism" around all the time in situations where it shouldn't apply, eventually people start rolling their eyes when they hear it. When you start using the same word you'd use against the KKK or a neo-nazi group on some guy who accused a guy of eating too much hamburgers and fried chicken in reference to his poor cardio, and in no way referencing his race, then the word loses power. Suddenly you're using the same word for a guy who won't hire black people because he thinks they're all crooks, and a guy who put a bit of black make-up on his face for Halloween to complete his Snoop Dogg costume.

I see your point, however i still maintain that words only have the power that people attach to them, i.e. "the feels". Perhaps we are saying similar things but framing them differently.

I can't honestly say I wouldn't get upset someone making those comments because A) it is her fault and B) I'd be more concerned about her health than what someone else is saying.
Side note, my sister is Korean and she makes jokes about me being white and I make jokes about how it's rude to talk to people with her eyes closed. We all laugh and no one gets upset.

If it were me, i'd probably get irate with the person enough to smack them verbally. I guess that was my long winded point. Thanks for reading it homie. :D

If a loved one is in the hospital, why give a fuck what someone said? Ya know what I mean?

I suppose, but if my hypothetical sister was fucked up already, i'm no surgeon. WTF could i do? I place myself in the hospital in my mind, and i'm stuck there feeling helpless, and some guy starts running his mouth? Well i'm not helpless in that situation. I might just fuck said guy up to feel better. Human nature is a motherfucker, and even a fairly nice guy isn't immune to it.
