You might be able to grab Amir Garrett, the rookie starting pitcher for the Reds. He's had 2 very good starts.

He's not a closer, but he might be worth sitting on if you have an open slot available - if for nothing else other than trade bait. I've watched both of his starts - he's got good stuff. Tall lefty with a nasty slider and a good change.

He's 2-0 with a 1.42 ERA with 9 Ks (2 BBs) and a WHIP of 0.71

He's a rookie so it could all go to shit, but might be worth a look.
thanks for the tip. just picked him up and dropped Andrew Triggs. 0.00 ERA with a 1 KO/BB ratio means he's bound to get roughed up.

btw I have Springer on my team. I didn't even know the Astros had such a good offense, just realized it after seeing his numbers on top of Altruve and Correa.

I think I'm going to head down to the game tomorrow night and watch the team with the best record in baseball.

And challenges?
They've had that for a few years. It was pretty annoying at first because the players would stall while the manager waited to get word from the booth on whether he should challenge or not. This year they have made a rule that the manager needs to decide on a challenge within 15 seconds of the play ending.

All challenge plays are reviewed and decided on in New York.

Called balls and strikes are not part of the review process.

Regular season games get 1 challenge per team.
Post Season games get 2.

Yoenis Cespedes (NYM) is absolutely killing it.

Over his last 3 games he is 7 for 14 with 5 HRs and 9 RBI.

Never so much as a whisper as to whether or not he did it clean. Very few players in the history of the game stack up to what he did in the late 90s.

He had a perfect swing, and - when he was young - played centerfield as well as anyone that has ever played.

The Minnesota Twins come out the gates 6-3 tied with DET for AL central lead. They usually start strong playing good D.
-Byron Buxton in CF is as good as they come out there on the field. He's athletic and dives for catches.
-Dozier coming off of a stellar 40+ HR season at 2B.
-I'm excited about big Miguel Sano at 3B. This guy is going to smash a bunch of balls out this season.
-Jason Castro was a FA acquisition this off-season. He usually don't hit well but is helping our pitching staff a bunch.

Do they have to throw a red flag like in football?

One of the reasons I'm stoked about going to the game tonight is to watch Billy Hamilton, who I think is the best defensive centerfielder in the game today. I also want to check out Milwaukee's young stud at that position - Keon Broxton.

Have fun bro. I'm going to head down to the TC's two or three times to catch a ball game this summer. If I lived down there I'd go all the time. I love being at the ball park.

The Kid is one of my all-time favorites. He was a joy to watch.

Baltimore rookie Trey Mancini has hit 4 HRs in the last 3 games, totaling 8 RBI. He is hitting .364 on the season.

When he hit his 4th HR, Craig Gentry and Manny Machado figured they would try their luck with his bat.

3 batters after Mancini's bomb, Gentry blasted a 2 run shot with Mancini's bat. 3 batters later in a scene straight out of The Natural, Machado grabbed the bat and blasted a 2 run HR of his own.

Pretty cool.

As much as I want to see him hit, I'm hoping he doesn't get in during the O's trip to Cincy as Mancini has been typically getting ABs at the DH position.

And I don't know if it was the SAME bat or just a bat from his collection. The article I read wasn't completely clear.
