Violence is violence.just because you feel righteous about it does not make it any differentWhy do people believe violence in the name of taking someone's rights away, and violence against the people that want to take people's rights away are equal and the same? You motherfuckers watch too much West Wing nonsense.
No, all violence is not same. There are legitimate uses of violence. Would you physically stop someone that was drowning a child?Violence is violence.just because you feel righteous about it does not make it any different

No shit.that is in no way what either of our posts are about and you know it.when 2 sides both go out in public to commit violent acts vs each other one is no better than the other .antifa smashing guys with bike licks is no different from nazis sucker punching people both are wrong.running over people with a car is alway wrongNo, all violence is not same. it depends on the intent really, even if the guy turns out to be a white nationalist that was there for the event it could still end up that he didnt plan it and just got pissed off and flipped out. but if he planned it in any way (no matter how brief) then yeah it definitely is.So is this considered a terrorist attack?
(Making assumptions from what we currently know)
* the calculated use of violence (or the threat of violence) against civilians in order to attain goals that are political or religious or ideological in nature; this is done through intimidation or coercion or instilling fear.
Planning or not... using violence against innocent people to further a political agenda.it depends on the intent really, even if the guy turns out to be a white nationalist that was there for the event it could still end up that he didnt plan it and just got pissed off and flipped out. but if planned it in any way (no matter how brief) then yeah it definitely is.
I am not advocating for attacking the protestors, just saying that both sides are not equal here. One side is misguided in their use of violence, and the other are reprehensible scum. Yet, people are acting like they are just as bad as each other, which isn't the case. Tolerating intolerance is not tolerance.Because being a self professed Nazi, saying Nazi shit, wanting Nazi shit is not illegal.
But attacking them is.
We've had the free speech talk before, but thems the kicks. It's not illegal. Many of us support their right to think and say disgusting shit.
And attacking people for thought is disgusting in my world.
absolutely, (none of this is directed at you btw) but we arent talking about what the police or courts should do here. we are discussing it on a forum, like many other people discussing it around the country. so when someone makes sort of moral equivalency between the two things, or just blatantly comes out and says "fuck them they suck anyway" (the people run over, the counter-protesters in general) then it makes sense people would call them out. We've had the free speech talk before, but thems the kicks.
