Checking out The Demon Disorder before football. In a Violent Nature was about as divisive as Arcadian on the OG thread and Oddity is great. If you can get AMC+ for $6 for the month, it’s worth it for just the “new releases”
In A Violent Nature is a great flick. A new take on the genre.

In a Violent Nature sucked ass.

Malignant was so ridiculous it ended up being really fun

Terrifier 3 was a blast. I liked it even more being a Christmas movie. Over the top gore with silly shit mixed in was a real treat. I’ll keep watching these as long as they keep churning them out.

Right on brother. Terrifier 3 is a reminder that movies are supposed to be fun.

I took the kids to the local comic shop. We hadn’t been in several years and my son had never been at all. I thought I’d let them pick something out and look at all the weird shit. Then I start thumbing through the old horror mags and found these two things. probably the greatest creature features ever. So I had to buy them.

Watched a couple more.

Daddy's Head- this one reminded me a ton of Babbadook. Even the little kid was annoying like Bab. It actually had a couple of creepy parts, but the rest was pretty long and boring. At least I think it was. I fell asleep several times and had to keep rewinding it. There was a good movie in here and they weren't able to find it. 5.5/10

Don't Move- wasn't gonna watch this but I put it on for a few minutes to check it out. Ended up being pretty good. The girl and the guy were both believable and interesting in their roles. There was one thing that happened that I loved but won't spoil. There was also one minor part that bothered me a little, but it was insignificant and didn't ruin the movie at all. I was pleasantly surprised with this one. 6.5 or 7/10. Definitely worth a watch

Agree about Don't Move. The lead chick was a cutie 3.14

Watched Time Cut and enjoyed it. One of the main girls reminds me of a light-skinned Jamaican Shakira...

7/10

Any fans of 11B-X-1371 (Red Lips Like Tenth)? Might have some relevance now. First heard about it on the TMMAC forum years ago. Fucking killer.

I'll have to watch time cut, only thing I had heard about it is people bitching that the clothes are not accurate for 2003, so I figured it was a teen movie.
It is high school based but it's a fun watch as long as you don't expect it to be the original Halloween lol...

I wish they would start making horror films like this again. I am probably watching this film again and maybe a third time when it comes to amazon rental.

It's been a long while since a film genuinely creeped me out. This one did it:

It's a bottle story, mostly contained in the basement of a funeral home that doubles as the county coroner's lab. What they think is a recent corpse of a young woman ends up being something much older and dangerous.

Just a really well done indie horror film.
Thanks for the recommendation. This was great!

Watched the new Hellboy movie. It looked like it had the budget of a fan film. I mean if someone told me this was a fan film, I'd probably believe it. There isn't much story and they don't really set anything up or really explain anything. That being, said, I didn't hate it. For what it was, I was entertained and don't regret watching it. The guy playing Hellboy was fine. He looked the part for sure and didn't have a ton of dialogue. The Crooked Man was creepy enough too. I kind of wouldn't mind seeing some more Hellboy movies like this.

Watched a couple more.

Elevation- this is basically the next quiet place movie wannabe except this one has monsters that are unable to go above an elevation of 8000 feet. This one stars Anthony Mackie as Anthony Mackie. I don't have anything against him, but he really doesn't add anything to roles. He's just there. He is joined by the Temu version of Bridget Moynahan who plays a scientist. This lady is a tough drinking grizzled veteran who has more experience fighting the monsters than anyone else somehow. She never comes off believable in any way as what they are trying to pass her off as. Very miscast. There is another girl who plays a hard ass. This tiny girl with short hair and annoying eyebrows. Well these three idiots are humanities hope and go on a mission to save everyone. Of course the women can't help but fight and be catty at every turn. This movie sucks. You can see they are hoping for this to be the first of a series. Let's hope it doesn't happen. 4/10

Year 10- this is another post apocalyptic film with humanity decimated and survivors struggling to fight nature and other survivors. I loved it. This was a pleasant surprise for sure. Heads up it has the same gimmick that recent alien movie and Azreal had that there is no dialogue throughout the entire movie. I really did not like those two movies at all, but it works in this one. This is how low budget should be done. I highly recommend this one. 8/10
