Apologies if my comment offended you, but know it was not in reference to you in any way. While the comment was made in jest, I do feel it is pretty spot-on for way too many threads, but I can respect it if you see it differently.

Personally, I don't respect "moderate" Muslims, because you cannot be a "moderate" Muslim. Either the Koran and the hadith's claims are true and legitimate, or they are not. What punishments?
Lets say the punishment for adultery is 100 lashes or stoning to death. There needs to be at least 4 witnesses who saw it with their own eyes, not just watching some guy and woman walk out of a room, but to witness the sexual act, the chances of that is below 1%.(4 witnesses thing is just to make the punishment impossible.)
Now the taliban or any other extremist would just carry out the punishment without any real witnesses.
In Islam if you capture any enemy then you have to treat them nicely. Some afghan soldiers surrendered to taliban and they were killed.
How about start blaming the idiots and not the religion.
In Islam a woman has to choose her partner and like him, but do you see that? nope they are forced to marry whoever their parents want.
In a Hadith its written that do whatever your parents tell you do, but never listen to them if they want to make you marry someone you don't like.
Dogs are made to be so impure and stuff, but in a hadith its written a man gave water to a thirsty dog and he was sent to heaven for this kindness.
Should i carry on, or you want to believe the version of taliban islam ?
