Broccoli Soup with Goat cheese

Take a head or two of broccoli and cut the florets off

Boil them 4-6 minutes. Your knife should slide through them with a little resistance.
Salt the water with a few pinches of salt.

Drain that and SAVE YOUR WATER. It's now a broccoli broth!
Spoon cooked broccoli into a blender. Then ladle some broth into this. Salt a little. Puree.

The hardest part in this is learning how much liquid to add and how long to bled. You want JUST enough to liquify but leave some body to your soup.

About like this...
Salt to taste

Goat cheese into the bowl.
Pour in soup.
Cracked pepper.
Soup melts the cheese. I probably added too much here. LOL no way.

Stire that melted cheese into that fresh soup.
Bon Appetit.
very nice

I do something similar but I do the entire thing in my vitamix. Do you keep goats?

As some of you may recall, my mixer took a shit on me a few days ago but I managed to get it to work for one loaf of sourdough bread using the starter that I got from ThatOneDude @ThatOneDude . It turned out okay, but the starter probably wasn’t ready yet. Well, I’ve been feeding it every day since, and this shit is tangy as hell! My wife bought a new mixer and says it should be here today. I’m back MFers!

Glad you like my starter! We are going to make more bagels this weekend. I think we finally have figured out how to properly use the mixer to speed up the dough making process.

Cabbage rolls, mashed potatoes, and sausages.

Excellence isn’t bought, it’s rented, and rent is due every fucking day.

Just about to put my bread in the oven. I followed the Extra Tangy Sourdough recipe off of the King Arthur site, except I don’t have a water bottle to spray the loafs down, so I’m just going to add a water bath on the bottom rack. Finger’s crossed.

You fucken guys and your bread.

It's the fucken apocalypse.

Y'all motherfuckers should be shaving your hair like Vitor and stealing fuel trucks.

This is not what I thought was gonna happen

I THINK WE FINALLY MADE GOOD, TOASTERABLE SOURDOUGH BAGELS

We baked at 400 because our oven seems to run hot the bagels are nice and soft and should toast nicely, instead of being too hard like the last ones.

I'm coming to your house when this apocalypse really kicks off.

They look awesome. Thinking about all the toppings. Cream cheese. Apricot preserves. Lox and capers. Toasted with butter and egg.

Great job!
I made a breakfast sandwich with one this morning, was fucking amazing. We are making a big batch this weekend and bringing some to my parents. They freeze really really well.
