Also the strange way people proudly declare which vaccine they got as if it's one upping the person they're talking to about it...

Hey you get vaccinated yet?

Yeah Pfizer! What about you?

Moderna!
That's a thing here, but I understand why. We have 4 vaccines, 2 of them are regarded as less safe. No one wants that Astrazeneca bullshit.

That's a little weird but posting your vaccination, especially as a public figure, is absolutely normal and a good way to give confidence to those that risk/benefit numbers won't influence.
"If my leader won't get it, why would I??" is both a common, but also reasonable reaction.

You think Donald getting the shot himself would have been enough.
He didn't film it though because he was still butthurt about an election he lost fair and square. Who wants to save lives when you can't stop pouting about getting evicted in a week?

I got Pfizer AND Moderna, so there!
So some countries are actually doing this now as a way to get more people vaccinated faster.

And there seems to be some info that shows that it may be beneficial to mix up the shots for a little broader spectrum protection.

Yeah, bro. My scientific ass figured that shit out WAY before those countries. They are following my lead.

After restricting AstraZeneca to older age groups, France started giving younger people one of the two mRNA vaccines as a second dose.

You might consider actually reading the article. It might be the dumbest thing you've ever posted.

They're talking about doing it here. The "data" they're using to support it is purely speculative and brought to you by the same people who brought you "We're better to give 100% of the population 1 dose than 50% of the population both." This has turned out to be false which is why they're now scrambling for alternatives.

I'm sure we could find worse without looking too hard.
Probably. There was just something funny about the article with the matter of fact title, then talking about how everything is speculative and based entirely on getting prompt vaccines produced and into arms. Considering the guy who posted it lives in vaccine starved Canada, he should recognize that anything with that many moving parts is malarkey.

It creates the appearance that vaccination is in fact not the path to normalcy that the public has been promised. It's kind of funny that you're looking at the TSA line and instead of saying "Wow, this is a waste of time." you're trying to explain to people how dangerous water bottles and shoes really are.
i don't think there's a parallel between the security theater of the TSA and vaccinations.

I don't trouble myself with the appearance of actions in a pandemic, only the efficacy and risks of those actions.

is it reasonable, or just understandable?

It's been demonstrated. The fact that you're making cases for the actions of people who are using different explanation themselves demonstrates that.

Did you post your vaccination ceremony so the anti-vaxxers on this site would be encouraged?

I posted that I got it in text.
I'm also not much of a public figure like a president or an influencer.

Also anti-vaxxers can't be convinced of anything.
The importance of a leader publicly getting vaccinated is for the fence riders.

I think you're really infantilizing people to think that seeing some celebrity, or in this case public figure they hate, is going to convince them to go out and get a vaccine they aren't sure about.

Sir.
