I'd sure like somebody to show me the data to support this move. It's still unclear exactly how much transmission occurs from vaccinated individuals even with increased nasal viral loads found on PCR.
.
I read an article the other day with some pretty good stuff in it. I'd like to see that scientific data too though.

One story the article told was about a vaccinated outbreak at a wedding. THe bride was a doctor so she tried to surmise what happened. She thinks the initial infection was when 12 vaccinated girls went bar hopping for the bachelorette party. 7 of those later tested positive. 17 additional vaccinated tested positive after the wedding which was only 2 days after the bachelorette party.

Another thing they talked about was information from doctors of the pro sports teams. All are vaccinated but are still getting the Rona. They said the players are returning faster (so not getting very sick) but that their viral load is staying at the highest levels for 7-10 days where it was 2-3 days with earlier Rona.

It's definitely going to be interesting.

Btw, Dr McCullough said Texas had reached herd immunity. How are y'all doing down there?

Well, here it is.....

.....
The presentation shows that those who are vaccinated are three times less likely to catch COVID-19 and 10-times less likely to die from it than those who are unvaccinated.

Once infected, though, vaccinated people are just as contagious as those without that protection — meaning they need to wear a mask and keep their distance to avoid passing on the virus.

.....

People may also be infectious for longer with the delta variant, 18 days instead of 13, the presentation says. This suggests official guidance on quarantining when sick may need to be changed, too, said Dr. Robert Wachter, chair of the department of medicine at the University of California, San Francisco.

....

In a study posted online this week by Pfizer and its collaborator BioNTech, but not yet peer-reviewed, the companies found their vaccine to be effective for at least six months. Effectiveness topped 90% for that period, according to the study, which was largely conducted before the delta variant became widespread.

Cases exploding in my county
I don't see how anyone can make that claim with the heterogeneous infection and vaccine patter of the state. We have areas that are 70+% vaccinated and areas at 20%

I think LA must be getting hit pretty hard with new/hospitalization cases (maybe many are vaccinated?). I've gotten multiple texts and emails this week offering travel nursing jobs with crisis pay there. Wage offers are going up every day.
About 300 people hospitalized out of 17 million
as of a couple days ago not one of them vaccinated.
The entire state has about 800 in our 352 hospitals.
Id take that easy money

Maybe based on projections

$5,698 weekly ($1,000 non taxable) for LA starting Aug 16

$5,824 weekly ($679 non taxable) Northern California starting Aug 16

Perhaps "right to work" states have a down side

I still wouldn't mandate vaccines outside of healthcare and military. But I can't but think about the link between right to work legislation empowering employers to fire you for no cause and the same groups being against the vaccine.
same people that yell "Property Rights!!!" were wearing masks in to private businesses that had 'must mask' signs up.

i think I'm more concerned about the Lambda...not sure how much is Peru and how much is the variant, but I'd rather not have it here and find out.

Sounds to me like the Indian variant isn't trusting the science.

Are particles from vape smaller or larger than covid particles?
Depends.

I've posted literally dozens of articles and real-world studies showing the effectiveness of mask and decreasing transmission of covid19 in close contacts.
That wasnt enough so at this point why would I argue and rehash some guy doing a demonstration that doesn't prove anything?
