I picked up another cutting board off of Etsy. I gave it it's second treatment of a board conditioner last night and I should be ready to slice, dice, put in rice by tonight.

Looks like figured maple, oak, possibly birch, with a strip of black walnut.

Clean it well because the oak is very porous and food particles can get trapped in there and make you sick.

I picked up an inside skirt steak today and decided to make some steak bites out of it. Cooked over high heat for some char on the outside and a rare to medium rare inside. Seasoned with salt, pepper, & garlic.

Chicken thighs marinated in vinegarette overnight, then cooked indirect until they temped at 180ish and finished direct for the char.

I pulled these later than I wanted, but carryover wasn't too bad. Some medium, some medium rarish.

Running out of food, had to get creative with what's on hand.

Cagin chicken & onion over keto toast in cream of mushroom.
Scrambled eggs with avacado & olives cooked in butter, salsa, sour cream.
It's probably fire.

The other challenge, both kids moved back in with me & haven't cleaned up shit for months.
So I packed the entire kitchen away but 1 plate, 1 fork, 1 spoon, 1 pot.
They have to acquire disposable eatware.
