Otto wins 5-1 over Serbia…

had a TD in the first… then hit him put down and a turn… par terre defense was on point in the second…

I’ll take it…

will have Türkiye or Egypt next…
 
Otto comes back from being down 5-0 going into the second period to winning 7-6…

he is in the semis and is guaranteed to wrestle for a medal tomorrow…
 
my guy attao finishes with bronze... he dislocated his arm last week at the camp right before the left for spain... was not even sure if he was going to be able to wrestle or not... good for him...

U20 Greco is over for the US now... no one gets pulled back in for repechage from the weights today...

2 silvers and a bronze makes this the most successful worlds for US greco in a minute...

the men's leg grabbing starts this AM...

i don't really follow the women's style so i don't have much to say about the brackets...

my guy Lilledahl at 57kg... cadet gold and silver and junior silver... hands down the best wrestler otto has ever shared the mat with... pumped to see him compete again... flo predicts gold...

bassett at 65kg... the less i say about him the better... i am curious how he does... if you can medal at U20 then all data points say you can medal at seniors, so, i am interested... flo predicts bronze which would be somewhat of a surprise to me...

duke at 70kg is nails... i like watching him wrestle... flo predicts gold...

ryder at 79kg and rademacher at 97kg... not familiar enough with either to say much... flo picks them as bronze and 5th respectively...
 
Picked up the knucklehead tonight…

he said that Russian was the strongest guy he’s ever wrestled…

Duke goes down 5-5 on criteria...

didn't see the match except for the very end, but, these damn russians are not playing around in spain...
 
Just registered my son for the first tournament of the season, November 2nd. The HS matches won't start until December but hoping to have 2-3 tournaments in November before that for him

just noticed that PDIII is registered for non olympic weight trials...

i know people love to hate that guy and for good reason...

but...

he is a loveable psycho...
