Anybody have this happen to them?
I'm walking around the wastelands (can't remember exactly where but there are empty abandoned buildings). All of a sudden there's a fucking huge explosion off to my side. My mouse spazzes trying to find out what the fuck. I figure out the explosion had come from this particular house. I draw my weapon and approach it cautiously. I peek in. Empty. I enter the home and look around. It's a single room house and there's a dead guy in his underwear lying on the floor and there's chemistry lab equipment everywhere.

Then it hits me. Its a fucking meth lab explosion and this asshole is in his underwear like Walter White in the series' first episode. Bethesda, you're amazing.

I like the creative process of building my settlements and making them impenetrable. I also pick up every item I see, so crafting is a breeze.
I really thought I'd enjoy this aspect too. When I saw you could build a settlement, I was stoked. But then I played the game, and that whole thing was underwhelming. I walled off Sanctuary Hills allowing only a single funnel point which I guarded with 6 turrets and a single guard. Never had any serious attacks. And that was after maxing out settlers and building a pretty good place with shit tons of food and water.
Just didn't seem like it added anything noteworthy to the game...

[POSSIBLE SPOILER]

What I didn't like was when I fortified my town and then it randomly gets destroyed part way through the main campaign.

I still like fortifying the other settlements as it does help out the residents when they get attacked directly. It's fun to watch turrets shred raiders!

The artillery is pretty noteworthy for my playstyle, but I can see where you are coming from. It takes a good deal of patience at times to get things the way I prefer them.

I havent seen the meth lab yet.

I found a boy in a fridge the other day which was pretty funny. The small mission is to escort him home.

I found some sort of cult (not covenant) and as I was talking to them a massive explosion wiped them all out and I barely survived. A vertibird had crashed. No gunfire, no attack just pilot fucking error. lol

This patch make anyone else's game buggy as hell?
It's improved somethings, and messed up a few things for me. I had my first major bug from the patch yesterday. I was going through some wasteland and a bunch of bugs attacked me...cool...then I started going in glow motion, couldn't shoot, couldn't run, I'm yelling at the top of my lungs because I hadn't saved and I had just gotten a bloatfly gland needed for a mission, the whole slow motion thing lasted about 30 seconds and then it went back to normal.

Well, that's just shitty. I feel you on the "forgot to save in a while" bit.

That's awesome, haven't seen that yet. A buddy of mine found Good Will Hunting...haven't found that either.
